Three Tune Tuesday, A Punk Medley!

Every Tuesday that rolls around I try to come up with some novel theme to string all of the songs together. I usually fail miserably so as of late I just share what I feel like sharing with absolutely no method to the madness. I do however create a custom banner for each week to make things a little more fun. Playing with AI generated artwork is entertaining, but at times surprisingly difficult to produce what you had in mind. Today was one of those days, but I still came out with something pretty cool!

I didn't produce any particular theme again today. Yesterday @geneeverett and I were chatting and he encouraged me to do some punk. So I decided, why not? Punk is always a lot of fun. So today's medley will feature punk from the 1970's until today. A nice little mix of everything!

And as I have expressed in the past #threetunetuesday is always one of my favorite events of the week. It's only here that you can hear all sorts of music from all over the world, and it's a lot of fun! I just want to say thanks @ablaze for starting and continuing to sponsor this weekly event.

Alright, let's gets rolling!

Sex Pistols

Formed in London in 1975 the Sex Pistols have become legendary in the world of punk music. Not because of the length of the bands existence which was really just under three years, but because of the influence they had on punk and the rock movements until this very day. Plus they are a lot of fun to listen to! Here's one of their best known tunes, "God Save The Queen":

These guys are one of my favorite bands to share, mainly because they have a great sound. Also because they formed not too far from where I live, in Garden Grove, California. Formed in 1984 it took them ten long years before they hit mainstream success in 1994 with their album "Smash". The band is one of the best punk band of the 1990's and early 2000's in my opinion and are also a lot of to listen to. The song I'm sharing today is a classic, "Why Don't You Get A Job?":

Last up today I was searching for some newer punk, something that I hadn't really heard before. In my search I came across this great band from Phoenix, Arizona. They have a nice punk sound and still haven't made it mainstream, but with a sound like this I think they have a good shot. Have a listen to "Night Loner":

That will wrap up my Three Tune Tuesday. I hope you enjoyed some or all of the songs, it's always fun picking them out. I ended up getting this put together later than planned today, so many of you may not see it until Wednesday. I hope you all had a great day, and as always if you have any questions, suggestions, or comments please feel free to leave them below.

And since I am posting in the #freecompliments community I just wanted to remind everyone to take some time today to be kind. A little kindness can make a huge difference in someone's life. Please check out the community and consider joining us!
