CONTROLLING THOUGHT

We need to be sincere in our hearts when it comes to our relationship with God.

KEY VERSE HEBREWS 10:22 (KJV):

Let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience, and our bodies washed with pure water.

COMMENTARY:

We must approach our relationship with God with sincerity in our hearts. It is unnecessary to put on a façade when we are in His presence, for He knows us better than we know ourselves. If we act carefree and unconcerned during our time with Him, it is simply hypocritical behavior that will hinder us from fully connecting with Him.

God desires us to come before Him wholeheartedly, without any doubts or reservations hindering our fellowship with Him. In truth, the depths of our hearts can only be expressed confidently to God alone. When confiding in people, there is always a chance of disappointment; however, when speaking honestly to God, it is certain that peace, assurance and wisdom will follow as He guides us through difficult situations.

Moreover, being sincere involves acknowledging and confessing all shortcomings and mistakes before God since nothing can be hidden from His sight.

Rather than pretending perfectionism exists within ourselves – which ultimately leads to hypocrisy – openly admitting fault allows for an authentic relationship built upon trust and honesty.

Sincerity also requires obedience towards God's commands; loving God but disregarding His instructions would contradict true sincerity. Instead of merely claiming love towards Him while failing at following His word or living according to His will - obeying such commands indicates genuine sincerity.

SUMMARY

Sincerity plays a crucial role in strengthening one's relationship with God by bringing forth confession of sins followed by obedience towards Him - resulting in experiencing the fullness of His love and grace throughout every aspect of life. It should not be treated as something temporary but rather as an ongoing effort requiring constant dedication each day; striving continuously for honesty and faithfulness within this daily commitment reflects sincerely onto others around you too – treating them kindly while loving them genuinely as oneself.

Ultimately surrendering selfish desires completely unto Him brings about peace, joy, and fulfillment- allowing your life centered on His love. Therefore let us strive endlessly to remain sincere within our hearts regarding our relationship with God - coming before Him wholeheartedly and trusting in Him completely. When we do this, we can experience His full love and grace in every aspect of life!

PRAYER

Dear God, we know Your word will keep us firmly rooted in faith. When we yield ourselves completely to You, we have assurance that we are secure and in safe hands. Your way reminds us of Your goodness and the glory to come - Amen.
