Rest and Recharge

There are times when we feel fired up, pumped and elated, especially when we've got a new idea on our mind we can't wait to start. This is the motivation phase where you feel like you're on top of the world, with your willpower at its peak. But with time (usually about three weeks or a month) all that fire, grit and willpower would soon reduce and diminish if you keep bursting out all that energy.

The time when you're at your peak is a great moment for everyone because we get that feeling of being unstoppable and invisible, but there will always come a time when we'll soon burn and eventually burn out.

At a time like this, you need rest...

it's important to recharge our grit and willpower battery by resting so that we dont end up with a dead one. Just like we hit the gym and train our muscles we've got to give ourselves a rest day so that we can be able to relax, repair and rebuild strained and stressed muscles.

Life goes in circles, death and rebirth, light and darkness, up and down, clear and blurred, happy and sad, busy and bored and on and on...

The truth is that no one side of life does not possess another opposing side...

When we tire ourselves out which is normal as a human we need the rest time to...

Recharge and get back to the grind.

Nothing can disrupt your life like being too stressed. There is research that shows how much stress nowadays is becoming the main cause of depression among young adults.

This is because many people do not know how to rest and recover their Gods given energy so they just keep spending it on everything they can watch as many TV shows as they can, play as many video games as they can and drink as much alcohol and energy drinks they can until they start looking older and enter atrophy faster than their peers.

Atropy:- gradual decline in effectiveness or vigour due to underuse or neglect.

Atrophy is a term used for muscle degeneration where if a muscle isn't used for a long period degenerates and just stops functioning.

This is normal human evolution however it is faster among some people than others especially those who expend their energy on the superficial like taking drugs and alcohol when we could rest and recharge our energy the natural way.

Just to stay up at night and watch TV shows I've seen some people gulp in energy drinks (which im also not an exception). The truth is that many of us want to do everything that we forget we are not machines whose batteries can be replaced in an instant.

In short, whether you are trying to work on a new project, a new career or even start a new TV show it is best to know that we can't do these things when we should be resting and in recovery because doing it when we dont have the energy, grit and motivation would only make the outcome, product and our cognition to be clustered without being able to understand what we are doing and what we are watching.

Be it your willpower or your body they all need time to rest, recharge and recover.
