Ada Lovelace the first steps of programming ~Women Wednesdays~

Hello friends of the community @hive-140084, today in the articles I write about women I wanted to make reference to a woman who was a pioneer in this machine that I am now using to communicate with all of you. Although I want to warn you that not the entire scientific community agrees on this issue.

Ada Lovelace was born in London on December 10, 1815 and is the daughter of the well-known poet Lord Byron, although she barely had a relationship with her father. Ada is known for her role as a mathematician and writer. But above all because some consider her to be the first computer programmer in history.

Ada had a social position in the elite of the time and she knew many scientists. Among them Charles Babbage with whom she had a long friendship. Charles Babbage was a mathematician who designed the analytical engine, what today we could consider the first computer. Although this machine looked more like a calculator.

Although it is quite controversial, some believe that, as shown in some publications of the time, Ada Lovelace created the first computer programs, specifically an algorithm to calculate Bernoulli numbers. It is more likely that it was Charles Babbage who created the first programming orders. But what Ada did contribute was her broader vision in this field, helping a lot so that we can now make use of all these tools.
Beyond the current conflict between genders, what is clear is that Ada Lovelace was an extraordinary woman.
