I normally don't post a lot of random product reviews on here, so when I do go out of my way to post one, you know it's worth a look! One iconic thing about summer is water-related fun, and water balloons are a great way to stay cool and have fun, even if you don't have access to a pool.
The downside to water balloons is two-fold:
- Filling them up
- Picking up all of the pieces when you're done
Don't get me wrong. It's worth it. With newer advances, you now have the pre-designed packs where you can fill up dozens at a time. You still have to clean them up when you're done.
And then, there are reusable water balloons!

I'll admit, I was highly skeptical of how well these would perform. We got them as a gift, so I figured we might as well try them out on a hot day. They worked wonderfully!
They're designed with a thicker rubber wall that is pliable but not breakable. The ring in the center is even thicker, and magnets are built into it so it holds itself shut tightly. Only with enough pressure from impacting something hard will they then open up and splash water everywhere.
We had a blast filling up a cooler with the hose and easily spent a half hour throwing them around. Filling them back up was quick and easy. We even played baseball with them and they held up to the kids, myself and my wife smacking them as hard as we could. If you're looking for some cheap summertime fun, give these a try! For $23, they're worth every penny!
