Engage Community Manager - New features and updates

Engage Community Manager - Improved settings management

Engage is a conversation and community management application that helps you to manage your incoming flow of posts and comments with a dedicated, non-distracting interface.

As with all my other projects, I continue to work on it to make improvements here and there.

What's new?

Support for LeoFinance.io client

The front-end developed by @leofinance is now supported. You just need to go to settings and set it as your favorite Hive client.

Auto-hiding "Reply and vote" and "Vote" buttons

Engage allows you to vote for posts and comments while managing them. However, it was quite annoying to sometimes get an error message because you had already voted on another front-end.

Engage will now check this before showing any new post or comment and automatically hide related buttons to avoid such issues.

Recent Emojis buttons

In the reply panel, Engage displays a list of emojis buttons that allows you to quickly insert in your answer. Until now, the emojis contained in these buttons were static and defined in the code of the application.

Engage will now dynamically adapt them to make the ones you use most often even more quickly accessible.

The emoji selector button will still display and give you quick access to your last-used emoji, even if not a frequent one.

Automatic Hive API node switching

Small invisible change but very useful, Engage will automatically change the API node if the one used becomes unavailable. You don't have to do anything, Engage will take care of it.

Minor changes and bug fixes

Several small bugs have been fixed:

  • fixed bug when displaying voting power
  • fixed a few typos here and there
  • fixed an application's menu auto-close issue
  • updated post/comment layout and font for better readability

That's all for today. I hope that you will enjoy these new features.

A comprehensive user guide is available on the application's blog: @hive.engage

This guide is being updated each time new features are added. Take a few minutes to read it and learn how to efficiently configure and use Engage.
