Engage Community Manager - New features

Engage is a conversation and community management application that helps you to manage your incoming flow of posts and comments with a dedicated, non-distracting interface.

As with all my other projects, I continue to work on it to make improvements here and there.

What's new?

Filtering on post

Engage used to display comments others made on all your posts in a mixed way.

But when it happens that you have made one post or more posts that generate a lot of reactions, it would be more efficient to respond to all comments for one post at a time.

This is now possible thanks to the "filter by post" button.

When activated, Engage will only display comments relating to the same post as that of the selected comment.

Once you have processed all of these comments, the filter will automatically turn off, showing all your comments again.

Disabling templates

You may have created a template for special purposes, but it is no longer relevant. However, you don't want to delete it because you might need to use it again later. A good example would be a template with wishes for Christmas or any other recurring event.

The problem is, these unused templates unnecessarily clutter your template list the rest of the time.

It is now possible to deactivate templates without deleting them. It will then disappear from the list of templates that you can use to respond to posts and comments.

Displaying posts and comment expected payout

Here is another small but useful feature: the expected payout, if any, is now displayed on each post or comment.

Minor changes and bug fixes

Of course, the previous month I adapted Engage to support the changes made by the hardfork 24.

Several small bugs have also been fixed:

  • fixed bug when ignoring a bookmarked post
  • fixed hiding the communities inbox when it has been disabled in settings
  • fixed bookmarks button does not appear when creating a first bookmark

That's all for today. I hope that you will enjoy this new feature.
