Hello everyone. In the previous post, I talked about technology, its benefits and harms. About a month ago, while spending time on social media, I came across a book fair post. I said that I was interested in books and that I tried to read them whenever I could. I even shared some of the books I read as a post. Many of them attracted attention. I examined the content of the post. The fair was going to be close to my house. Even better, a writer I liked was going to attend this fair. I immediately saved the post and experienced the advantage of social media.
Herkese merhaba. Bir önceki postta teknoloji konusuna, faydalarına, zararlarına değinmiştim. Yaklaşık bir ay önce sosyal medyada zaman geçirirken kitap fuarı gönderisine denk geldim. Kitaplara karşı ilgim olduğunu, fırsat buldukça okumaya gayret gösterdiğimi söylemiştim. Hatta okuduğum bazı kitapları da post olarak paylaştım. Bir çoğu da ilgi gördü. Gönderinin içeriğini inceledim. Fuar oturduğum eve yakın bir konumda olacaktı. Daha da güzeli sevdiğim bir yazar da bu fuara katılacaktı. Gönderiyi hemen kaydettim. Sosyal medyanın avantajını bizzat yaşamış oldum.
I went to the fair five days ago. Obviously I was going to go earlier for İlber Ortaylı, but I couldn't go because of work. When I went to the fair, luckily I didn't meet any author. They were all presenting at different times. Unfortunately, I could not coincide the times.
Interest in the fair was at a high level. I waited for a few minutes to pass through the checkpoint.
Beş gün önce fuara gittim. Açıkçası İlber Ortaylı için daha erken gidecektim ama işten dolayı gidemedim. Fuara gittiğimde şansıma hiçbir yazara denk gelmedim. Hepsinin ayrı ayrı farklı saatlerde sunumu oluyormuş . Maalesef saatleri denk getiremedim.
Fuara ilgi üst seviyedeydi. Kontrol noktasından geçebilmek birkaç dakika bekledim.
There were many publishing houses at the exhibition, but some of the publications I follow did not have stands. The prices of the books were generally affordable. When I saw George Orwell's 1984, which I had read before, I found myself in the book for a moment. I really like this aspect of reading books. No matter how much time passes, the memories always stay in the mind.
Sergide birçok yayınevi bulunuyordu ancak takip ettiğim bazı yayınların standları yoktu. Kitapların fiyatları genel olarak uygundu. Fuarda daha önce okuduğum George Orwell'in 1984 kitabını görünce kendimi bir an kitabın içerisinde buldum. Kitap okumanın bu yönünü gerçekten çok seviyorum. Ne kadar zaman geçerse geçsin anıları hep zihinde kalıyor.
I took photos of some of the books that caught my attention inside the fair. I also bought four books and paid 130 liras, a very reasonable price. Even when I eat out, I pay at least 150-200 liras, so I felt like I got the books for free.
Fuarın içerisinde dikkatimi çeken bazı kitapların fotoğraflarını çektim. Ayrıca dört tane kitap aldım ve 130 lira ödedim. Gerçekten çok uygun fiyat. Dışardan yemek yediğim zaman bile en az 150-200 lira ödüyorum. Dolayısıyla kitapları bedavaya almış gibi hissettim.
After I left, I met the security guards working at the fair. We chatted about the fair and they offered me tea. After I left the venue, I went to a raw meatball place just across the street. Actually, I am not very fond of bulgur type products, but interestingly I had a craving for raw meatballs.
İçerden çıktıktan sonra fuarda çalışan orada çalışan güvenlik görevlileriyle tanıştım. Fuar hakkında sohbet ettik ve bana çay ikram ettiler. Mekandan ayrıldıktan sonra sokağın hemen karşısındaki çiğ köfteciye gittim. Aslında bulgur türü ürünlerle çok fazla aram yok ama enteresan bir şekilde canım çiğ köfte çekti.
The raw meatballs were very good. I added this place to my phone's locations and will visit again if I pass by. The inside of the place was as good as the raw meatballs. Small model houses attracted my attention.

Çiğ köfte gayet güzeldi. Bu mekanı telefona konumlara ekledim. Yakınlarından geçersem tekrar uğrayacağım. Mekanın içerisi de çiğ köfte kadar güzeldi. Küçük maket evler dikkatimi çekti.
