Just sharing with you, a song about writing songs with cliché lyrics!

Stevie Boyes
What a lovely afternoon
For procrastinating
This song won't write itself
But I know you're waiting
Can I take a holiday
From words that are cliché
You've heard them all before
Seeking that elusive metaphor
Nothing new nothing new
Under the sun
Seeking inspiration
Well I ain't got none
Finding the right words
Has caused a delay
This song will be finished
Some day
Having second verse blues
This song lacks direction
So I'm using second verse blues
As my inspiration
Nothing new nothing new
Under the sun
Seeking inspiration
Well I ain't got none
Finding the right words
Has caused a delay
This song will be finished
Some day
Stevie Boyes is a UK based artist, who started out making keyboard instrumentals on his parents 4-track cassette machine. After playing keyboards in a few local bands Stevie released his first album as a singer/songwriter, Tomorrowland in 2016, with many tracks having a striped down sound. His musical direction is now between a more polished indie synthpop and occasional guitar based outing, on occasion using unconventional microtonal scales and pitches outside the regular 12tone system in common use today. Stevie has been producing and releasing individual tracks with the aim of making a second album
