In 1953, a five-cent coin was introduced to Queen Elizabeth II. The work of George Kruger-Gray was marked by the appearance of a beaver, which was introduced in 1937.
The initials of Kruger-Gray KG remained to the left of the beaver. The chrome-plated 5-cent steel pieces remained until the 1955 issue, when nickel was used again. It's a special piece for the Canadian Bank.
