Glorious Gold - Bull and Roos

goldcoins2.jpg

My recent stacking posts have focused mainly on silver coins and bars. Today, I'd like to share a photo of some glorious gold coins. Again, this is an older photo, so the clarity and resolution is not amazing, but at least the coins themselves are.

1997 1/4oz $25 Gold Lunar Series 1 Year of the Ox

The first coin in the photo is part of The Perth Mint Lunar Series I Collection. This is the proof version of the coin that comes in a clam shell box with a certificate of authenticity. This coin is often difficult to find, making it very collectable and a must-have for passionate numismatic stackers.

2012 1/5oz $25 Gold Kangaroo at Sunset

The next coin is the Kangaroo at Sunset gold coin is by the Royal Asutralian Mint. This coin first came out in 2007, each year a low mintage of only 10,000 coins are issued for release. The beautiful design depicts a kangaroo in the outback at sunset with a long shadow.

2004 1/4oz $25 Gold Australian Nugget

The final coin in this post is the 2004 Australian Nugget/Kangaroo gold bullion coin by The Perth Mint. The design depicts a crouching kangaroo with a grass tree in the background. The maximum mintage of the bullion coin was 150,000 and the declared mintage was 25,537.

All three coins celebrate how glorious gold is when it is minted into a quality coin with a beautiful design. Enjoy! 😎
