SGS Monster Pit Fundraiser Update

A quick update on the @monsterpit fundraising effort for the SGS Community Curation Project. This month we tried an auction rather than a raffle and it was won by @buggedout (me) who paid 50 HIVE for the prize. We only had the one bid which was disappointing, yet even if we can only generate 50 HIVE a month from this fundraiser then the @monsterpit account will still be producing a decent dividend!

With the cards estimated value near $400 USD and the HIVE price at 0.31 USD a 50 HIVE a month fundraiser gives us a return of (50 x 0.31 * 12) / 400 = 46.5% APR! Not bad if we can keep it going at this level!

Of course it’s never that simple and next month we’re planning to run another raffle as we try to work out what the better fundraising option is going forward. For now I’ll give the @monsterpit a good workout over the next 2 seasons and see if I can beat the high standard that @monsterjamgold has set over the first 2 seasons that were raffled off last month.

If you are interested we’ve again posted up the Splinter Stats for the season just completed and @monsterjamgold did set another Rating High to beat his first effort. Here’s the competition ladder so far :-

SeasonPlayerRating HighPosition
43monsterjamgold28471st
42monsterjamgold28162nd

The Bonus Pot for the best Rating High over 2021 is now up to 10 HIVE which is still not a lot, but it’s only February and who knows what the price of HIVE is going to get up to by the end of the year. I can envision that competition for winning the Bonus Pot might heat up over the course of the year so keep an eye on that ladder. While it's clear that @monsterjamgold did a great job setting the bar high, that Rating High does look beatable….

Thank you for your support!
