I got some new bars i never seen before and i am not a huge fan of bars but considering this is #piratesunday i thought i would show them off, i have also made a small custom silver band for another stall holder on my market.
Now i know nothing about this bar so any help would be cool
I have also got a hand poured bar from scotland with a skull on it, the certificate says pure scottish silver but their website is down which is not cool but i checked the bar and it is A ok.
As most of you know i am a market trader who deals mainly with coins and on a saturday there is a gentleman called John who does carvings on reclaimed wood and to be fair some of his stuff is amazing but getting back to the point he now needs a walking stick and being a craftsman he made his own stick.
He asked me if i would make him a silver band for his stick, now i said yes without any hesitation but a silver band is put on usually before the handle is attached but in this case i had to improvise with some tacks.
As you can see the finish aint as neat as it should be and this is a custom bit for the price of silver and gas in my torch but i went with a leaf motif and the name of the local artist and his year of birth.
The finished item is nice but i wish i had know previous as i could have put the band on it first, another random fact is this stick is a for a semi famous ageing rock star but i cant say who.
