I picked up this round on my recent trip to the coin shop. This is a 1 ounce silver round replicating a rare coin celebrating the 75th anniversary of California's admittance into the Union.
In 1925 the San Francisco Mint struck a silver half dollar celebrating California's Diamond Jubilee.

The reverse of the round is different than the original in that there is no monetary value and the "United States of America" is also missing.
The face is similar in design of the original lacking only the motto "In God We Trust" and the designation as the California diamond jubilee.
I have been getting a little off track lately with my silver purchases. Its almost as if I am becoming a "coin nerd". Wait, I have always been a "coin nerd" but now I need to concentrate on being a silver stacker!
I swear my next purchase will be "junk silver"!
Unless I spy with my little eye another awesome round!
Peace out and Stack On!
