High premium silver (part 2 of 2) Proof restrike of silver rider

Hi Stackers,

This high premium restrike comes in Delft Blue (china?) holder and contains the restrike of the famous silver rider a coin used in the early Netherlands in silver but also in gold. The gold one was one of the heaviest coins ever used back in the days. The ducats were more common and less heavy.

The dies were remastered using laser techniques on old coins. With the help of some of the best original circulated coins the computer calculated what the die must have been like.

A year before the same was done with the Liondollar or - Leeuwendaalder in Dutch - and the proof coins were sold out in an instant. 50% was sent to US dealers as the demn in the US was high.
