2024 1oz Silver Samoa Light of Libery Enhanced Reverse Proof

I saw this coin, designed by Susan Taylor, and knew I had to have it. It's reverse proof. It's limited mintage. It has a picture of Lady Liberty that doesn't look like an angry man. This coin checks all the right boxes!

Obverse
The obverse features a majestic Bald Eagle in flight, with mountains and a rising sun in the background. The design is a tribute to the original design by the 12th US Mint Chief Engraver, John M. Mercanti, which was originally depicted on the 2023 1oz Samoan Eagle coins.

The reverse proof eagle just pops against the frosted background. I love that they took the time also make the mountains, sun and the lettering reverse proof as well. It's these small details that really make the coin stand out!

Reverse

The reverse depicts Lady Liberty holding the American flag in one hand, and a torch in the other, with the rising sun in the background. I love that they alternates between frosted and reverse proof stripes in the flag!

The coin is a "high relief" coin, so the flag actually pops up from the surface of the coin to give it amazing depth! Her robe looks amazingly realistic due to the high detail and high relief on it!

Specifications

I was very pleased with this coin! It's sad that the US Mint can't produce something anywhere near this quality.

It's a very low mintage of 4,999. I was very fortunate to get one of these lower mintage coins. I paid $109 at the time, and the PF70s are currently going for almost $200. I think this will appreciate well over time due to its low mintage numbers and exquisite design!
