1oz Silver Scottsdale Mint Vortex Bar / Reblog lottery

I didn't think much of this bar originally, but getting it in hand almost makes me want to buy a whole tube. Scottsdale Mint is well-known for their quality and designs. I think the stock rendered images they use to advertise them just don't do the actual bar justice.

So, here are the stock images from Scottsdale's website. (Source)

The design looks nice enough, but nothing that would make me think, "Wow! I've got to have one!"

Now, let's look at one with the light hitting it.

Obverse

The design actually does a great job of making the details stand out, as the light hits the raised surfaces, making the vortex pattern more pronounced.

Reverse

Even the reverse just looks better with the light hitting it, compared to the stock images on their website.

Lastly, here is the last photo they took of them in a stack.

This was the picture that convinced me to buy one. Yet, they bury this picture at the end of the picture gallery. In my opinion, I think they'd sell more leading with this.

Specifications
Weight: 1 Troy ounce
Purity: .9999

I paid a $3ish premium on this, so I'll likely keep this at just one bar. Premiums add up, and while this is a great looking bar, $60 of premium per tube will buy me another 2ish ounces of generic silver. Still, I'm happy with it and likely would've regretted not picking one up.

Each month, I give away a $1 Goldback or 4 HBD. The winner gets to choose.
Note: Some countries may have prohibitively expensive shipping or delivery, which may not be feasible. I reserve the right to award the winner 4 HBD instead of a Goldback at my discretion.
