En este post muestro unas fotos de uno de los balnearios (artificiales) de la ciudad de Antofagasta, prácticamente es una piscina en el borde costero, con una barrera para el oleaje. Las imágenes fueron capturadas al final de una tarde de invierno, muy soleada con una bella y clara luz. Como es típico de estas latitudes la temperatura en invierno es bastante benigna, pero las playas están desiertas. Prácticamente nadie se mete en el agua en esta época del año.
In this post I share some photos of an artificial beach at the city of Antofagasta (Chile). It is almost a swimming pool built at the sea side with a barrier against waves. The images were taken at the sunset on a winter afternoon. There was a bright and clean light. At these latitudes the winter temperature is not low, but not good enough for going to swim at the sea.
Una de las estructuras (una pérgola) para proteger al público del sol tiene un diseño que me ha permitido una fotografía con una composición llamativa.
One of the structures (a pergola) for protecting people from the sun has an interesting shape, which I used as an element in the composition of this photo.
