Comenzamos Medicina Interna III
Hace una semana culminé la primera rotación de 6to año. 8 semanas en un ambulatorio me mostraron una nueva visión un poco mas allegada a la perspectiva de los pacientes. Esta semana inicio la segunda rotación por medicina interna, la vuelta al hospital ha sido todo un cambio, toca adaptarse nuevamente al movimiento y al ajetreo diario, que dista mucho de parecerse en lo mas mínimo al de un ambulatorio tipo I.
A week ago I finished my first 6th year rotation. 8 weeks in an outpatient clinic showed me a new vision a little closer to the perspective of the patients. This week I start the second rotation for internal medicine, the return to the hospital has been quite a change, it is time to adapt again to the movement and the daily hustle and bustle, which is far from resembling in the least that of a type I outpatient clinic.
Regresar al hospital como 6to año es toda una nueva experiencia. Tener ese pequeño papel de tutor con los años inferiores, explicar un poquito sobre como funcionan las cosas dentro del hospital a los que vienen entrando es por un lado toda una responsabilidad, pero por el otro he descubierto cierto agrado por explicar cosas, es una manera de demostrarme a mi misma que domino un tema. Volver es bueno, a pesar de que la ruralita fue una experiencia genial, que me abrió un poco los ojos sobre como se maneja la parte ambulatoria, y me ayudó a mejorar en un 100% mi interacción con los pacientes, volver al hospital me emociona, y me llena de mucha ilusión.
Returning to the hospital as a 6th year is a whole new experience. Having that small role of tutor with the lower years, explaining a little about how things work within the hospital to those who are coming in is on the one hand a whole responsibility, but on the other I have discovered a certain pleasure to explain things, it is a way to show myself that I have mastered a subject. Going back is good, even though the ruralita was a great experience, it opened my eyes a bit about how the ambulatory part is handled, and it helped me to improve my interaction with patients by 100%, going back to the hospital excites me , and it fills me with great enthusiasm.
Cada vez falta menos para alcanzar esa gran meta que llevo construyendo a través de unos largos, duros, pero a la vez un poco cortos 7 años de mi vida. Aún no me creo que en unos meses seré oficialmente Médico Cirujano. Tan solo 3 rotaciones mas, la tesis y listo, de verdad que a veces digo que el tiempo pasa volando. Por ahora me despido, les seguiré contando como me va en este paso por Medicina Interna, nos vemos en la siguiente publicación.
There is less and less to reach that great goal that I have been building through a long, hard, but at the same time a little short 7 years of my life. I still do not believe that in a few months I will be officially a Surgeon. Just 3 more rotations, the thesis and that's it, I really sometimes say that time flies by.
