Esta pequeña isla ha sido una fortaleza desde tiempo inmemorables. A pocos metros de la ciudad de Tarifa, y ahora unida por un camino quedando como una pequeña península. Fue con Tarifa, San Fernando y Cádiz los únicos lugares de España que aguantaron a la invasión francesa.
This small island has been a fortress since time immemorial. Just a few metres from the town of Tarifa, and now joined by a road to form a small peninsula. Together with Tarifa, San Fernando and Cadiz, it was the only place in Spain that withstood the French invasion.
