Very good everyone, I bring you a new post 😁
On this occasion, we can see how is a typical square of my country. and to start with the whole theme of the squares. we must take into account something, all the squares of Venezuela are based on honoring and placing a statue or bust of our liberator Simon Bolivar, so it is very common that when you're in Venezuela people call "Bolivar square" to almost all the squares of the country.
The curious thing about the statue of Simon Bolivar in this square, is that it is not the typical Bolivar riding a horse, if not a statue that tries to recall the most real and elegant Bolivar .. imitating even the stature, which is why that statue is unique and I had never seen a similar one. The cult to Bolivar in Venezuela is very special, it is not the only Bolivar square in my state there are many in each municipality, in these squares are looking for rest and relaxation of people overwhelmed by a working day or that children can relax and play.
As you can see inside the square, there is a church... because in every square there will be a church next to the square. associating the religious side with the historical side of a country, but the special thing about this square that I visited is not only the particular statue of Simon Bolivar but also that in that place they baptized a former president of Venezuela, more than 120 years ago. The former Venezuelan president Hermógenes López in 1829. So you could move to the time and give you an idea of how old and valuable it is to make history known to the population.
Squares are places to hang out in a pleasant environment, especially if it is in the afternoon. It's always good to value and take care of our squares, no matter what country you are from. it's great to have spaces to enjoy. I say goodbye, and will be until a new post :)
