Hive is a wonderful platform that allows great minds to express themselves and share thoughts and ideas for the betterment of the world at large. But as good as it is, I think some things need to be put in check to keep people more engaged and to encourage them to work well.
I would like to mention a few points about things I dislike in Ecency/Hive in response to this week's prompt. I have been on this platform for three months now, and I can say it has been an awesome experience, but as I said earlier, some things should be put in check.
DEDUCTION OF HBD IF CLAIMED LATE: In my two months, I have noticed that my HBD does get deducted whenever I claim late. It has happened to me countless times, probably when I'm at work or kind of busy and I couldn't check to know when it was released. Whenever I'm online to claim my rewards, I do notice some certain cents have been deducted. This should be because it might lead to discouragement for a newbie who hasn't found his or her way around the communities and who is not getting enough upvotes for a start.
LONGER DAYS OF RELEASING REWARDS: Taking seven days before a payment reward could be released is quite long because most of the rewards are released after the fourth day or at the latest the fifth day, which makes it more okay. But taking a week before it could be released and a deduction if claimed late isn't good enough, and this may lead to discouragement.
If these are put in check I guess Hive will be a better platform for people to participate in and nevertheless I will love to introduce to my friends and families.
