What do you collect?

When I only think about what I have collected in my life :-)
Everything was there.
As a kid I collected: pebbles, shells, toy cars, napkins...
When I outgrew those cheap children's collections that I didn't pay for, I moved on to collected and more expensive ones that are paid for.
That's how I became a comic book collector: Zagor, Il Grange Blek, Comandante Mark, Martin Mystere, Mister No...
In the period 1988 to 1994 I became the owner of some interesting publications.
I had some of the first editions of Zagor and Il Grande Blek. I had the first issue of Comandante Mark, issue 84 from the Golden Series Edition, as well as the complete collection of Mister No and Marty Mystere.

Like any teenager, I couldn't hold on for long and sold all those comics in order to provide myself with pocket money. What a pity...

My next hobby was collecting empty beer and juice cans (of different brands, all that I could buy or that were brought to me from abroad by friends or relatives) as well as empty cigarette boxes.
I kept it all in my room, as decorations and exhibits, until I started college.
Then the shelves were emptied and textbooks began to be collected instead of empty cans. And after graduating from college, collecting books somehow remained the most beloved task of collecting.

Even today, I visit book fairs and various bookstores in search of interesting books...

Every book I buy, before placing it on the shelf, in the showcase or wherever I find a little space in the apartment, I read it first.

What do you think, what is my favorite genre and who is my favorite author :-)

Are you wondering why I collect books now?
Because I enjoy reading.
I love the smell of paper, the rustling of leaves while turning a new page relaxes me...
By reading some interesting story, I imagine a movie in my head :-)
Reading brings me pleasure that in recent years, no movie can give me, no matter how good it is...
