Splinterlands social media challenge: Combining light and water for battle

For the first time, I used a combination of elements in battle and it felt good. I used the light and water elements in this battle, and this was made possible by my summoner, who I will talk about in details soon. This combination proved to be a powerful one, and I and willing to try it more in the coming days. Of course, I won this battle, and it was a victory I was excited about, like every other victory.

Let's get into my line up

My summoner was Prunda Undervesch. This is a light and water summoner, meaning I will be able to have access to light and water cards to use in battle. It aslo has a mana cost of 3. This was my first time using Prunda Undervesch and I must say, I didn't regret it.

In my tank position was the ruthless Seadog of eight, which is of the water element. This is one of the cards I usually put in this position whenever I'm using the water element. It is perfect for this tank position, and here's why.

First, it has an armor. This serves as a shield on it's health. It also has a very impressive health of 8. So it would take a lot eliminate this unit form battle. Secondly, it is a melee attack card. So it is meant for the first row for close up attacks. This card has a moderate speed of 2.

When it comes to abilities, the Seadog of Eight has the Corrosive ward ability, which means that when it suffers a melee attack, it gives 2 armor damage to the attacking unit, thereby reducing the armor of that unit by 2.

I put the Anasth Soothsayer, another water monster in the second position. It is a magic attack card, so it can occupy any position in battle. It has a health of 6 which is very good. But one interesting thing about this monster is that it has a really impressive speed of 4.

The Anasth Soothsayer has the cleanse ability, which lets it take away all the negative effects on the unit occupying the tank position of the same team.

In the third position is the Meriput Magician. This is a light creature. It is a magic attack card and it is fast (with a speed of 3). It also has a health of 5 which is good enough to sustain it in battle.

To suit the magician in its name, it has the tank heal ability. With this ability, it restores one third of the tank's health every round

The Time Mage occupies the fourth position. It is a magic attack card of the light element. It is very fast with a speed of 4. It has a health of three, which is why I prefer it in the back row.

The Time Mage has the slow ability, through which it reduces the speed of enemy monsters by one.

In the fifth position is the Thanalorian Archer. One of my favorite light creatures. It is a magic attack card, so it can stay in front or back row in battle. It has an armor of 2 and a health of 4. These stats make it able to withstand attacks to some extent in battle. It also has a speed of 2, which isn't bad.

In addition to all of that, it has 2 interesting abilities, the snipe and the lookout abilities.

In the last position is the Aria bandit. It is a range attack card. It has a health of 3 and a speed of 2.

It also has two cool abilities, namely the snipe ability and the dodge ability.

My opponent had an interesting line up as well.

My opponent's team consists of Avina of the wolf as summoner, Silverblade fighter, Blinding Reflector, Gargoya Scrapper, Sunkai Harvester, Stitch Leech, and Chaos Knight.

One thing the kept going for me in this battle is that most of my units were magic attack units, so they kept having direct impact on the health of my opponent's units, bypassing the armors. My opponent's tank was the first to go, and by round two, the second unit was gone.

My tank came under a lot of attacks but its health was good enough to sustain it. By round 3, my opponent's third and fourth units were out, while all my units were intact. By round 5, my opponent's last unit was taken out and I won the battle, with all of my units intact.
