BRAWLS OF STEEL | SEASONS 94 and 95

Happy October everyone! This is star⭐ from @Shield-of-Glory here with morosπŸ‘‘ (@m0r0s) leader of Cards of Fury. We're excited to be back again, to bring you the next edition of the βš”οΈ Brawls of Steel | End of Season Report βš”οΈ

New Prizes and HIVE Rewards!

Lets face it. SPS brawl rewards are taking forever. They'll be here soon, but we decided to just go ahead and develop our own brawl rewards system, right now, on #hive 😁 As described further below, the top brawler in Tier 2 and Tier 3 for each season will receive a #hive reward delegation from this article. That means the MORE UPVOTES WE GET, THE HIGHER THE PRIZE WILL BE! We're hoping that eventually this can turn into a substantial enough rewards pool that we can offer more prizes to a wider variety of players!

For now though, the rules are simple:

  • The winner of our πŸ†Top Brawler AwardπŸ† for TIER 3 each season receives a 10% HIVE rewards delegation from our END OF SEASON REPORT.

  • The winner of our πŸ†Top Brawler AwardπŸ† for TIER 2 each season receives a 5% HIVE rewards delegation from our END OF SEASON REPORT.

  • The winner must have come in #1 in their fray.

  • The winner will be determined based points scored per brawl battle fought (we refer to this as a player's "PPB" score).

  • If two or more players have the same PPB score, tie-breaker is by most wins.

  • If two or more players have the same PPB score and the same number of wins, tie-breaker is by least number of losses.

  • If two or more players have the same PPB score, the same number of wins and the same number of losses, tie-breaker is by highest level fray.

Get it? Good! Read on then and see if you, or any of your guildmates took home any of these top prizes.

It's October!

Before we get going though, let's take a moment to appreciate what an amazing time of year this is! πŸŽƒ As most of you know, October is the time of year when the veil between our world and the #splinterverse begins to fade. Until finally, those worlds merge for one night on October 31, Halloween, All Hallows' Eve, or whatever you choose to call it πŸ‘»

During that time, you may expect to see monsters roaming about such as Animated Corpse, Swamp Thing, and the Boogeyman. Please remember to be safe and report all monster sightings to local authorities.

Also, for our U.S.-based readers, please keep a look-out for limited edition Grum Flameblade costumes appearing at party stores, in select cities near you. As you know, we here in the U.S. take our adult costumes way too far, and this will be no exception. The costumes will require a GRUM token (soon to be available on #hive-engine) and will come with a custom QR code to be redeemed at participating stores. We expect them to be all the rage at Halloween costume parties this year!

The Latest "Quest of Moros"

Ok, so seriously, we are actually back for a reason folks, and no it's not just to joke about #halloween or #splinterlands related #cosplay. No, we are here to share yet another TREASURE from the latest Quest of MorosπŸ‘‘ (and to give out brawl-related #hive reward delegations in the process! πŸ’°πŸŽ‰)

Before we begin though, let's ask a few questions, to make sure you are in the right place:

  • Do you want to know who the top brawling guilds are in Tier 2 and Tier 3?
  • Do you want to know who the best brawlers are in each fray?
  • Do you want to know who the best brawlers are in the entire game?

If you answered yes to any of the above questions, then congratulations! You're in the right place. Because we want to know that stuff too. Unfortunately, that information isn't easily obtained. It's actually like a TREASURE---the TREASURE TYPE being a SCROLL---a magical data SCROLL hidden deep in the darkest dungeons of the #hive #blockchain. Only those with advanced powers of πŸ’‘illuminationπŸ’‘ can even hope to find it.

Treasure.jpg Treasure types from the original D&D manuals included magical scrolls

Therefore, once again, morosπŸ‘‘ went on a great quest to find us this TREASURE. Once again, his magical powers were up to the task and the quest was a success! We all appreciate the hard work and effort involved in completing such a quest, and then the generosity involved in sharing this magical data SCROLL with the entire community. There is no doubt, he is an amazing community-member! πŸ™

So then, without further ado, we share with you the information from this magical data SCROLL ... the βš”οΈ Brawls of Steel | End of Season Report βš”οΈ Read on to see if your guild, or any of your guildmates made the top spots, or won any of the #hive reward delegations!

SEASON 94 BRAWLS

As discussed in the previous report here, the Tier 3 brawl ecosystem is up and running again. Not only that, but this time folks, it really looks good. Like seriously, it is off to the races. At the time this article published, there were 23 guilds in Tier 3, 221 guilds in Tier 2 and 546 guilds in Tier 1. As a reminder, for now we will only be covering results from the top two tiers.

Season 94 | TIER 3

Season 94 had results from three brawl cycles. In the Tier 3 arena, Summoner's Tribe took the #1 spot again with 678 points, adding to their streak of first-place performances. Congratulations to those kitty-loving, brawling savants, and their #1 finish!

It's interesting to note though, Summoner's Tribe was only 8 points ahead of perennial powerhouse Immortal Gods. So despite the #1 finish, this was not the typical domination we're used to seeing from Summoner's Tribe. Immortal Gods was actually right on their heels at #2.

Legendary Dragons and The Guild of Neoxian also turned in solid performances, coming in #3 and #4 respectively.

When it came to individual performances, Summoner's Tribe and Immortal Gods dominated here too. The two together fielded the top brawler in 12 out of 18 total frays.

SEASON 94 TIER 3 TOP PLAYERS.png Top players for each fray according to points per battle (Season 94 | Tier 3)

Particularly impressive performances were turned in by @bubke (16-2) in Fray 12, @cyguy (17-2) in Fray 15, @cyberblock (14-2) in Fray 16 and @byzantinist (14-2) in Fray 17. Of these top performers, cyguy took the πŸ†Season 94/Tier 3 - Top Brawler AwardπŸ† with a points-per-battle (PPB) score of 2.68 !!!

Season 94 | TIER 2

Don't look now, but the competition in Tier 2 is only heating up. More guilds, more competition, more rivalries and more battles! Tier 2 is looking less like a second tier league and more like a breeding ground for top-tier brawlers.

Starting off with the best guilds in Tier 2, The Anti Social Club dominated Season 94 with 879 points. Those uber-talented introverts came in nearly 100 points higher than next best guild, #2 ranked Hydra Kida, Hydra Wife.

SEASON 94 TIER 2 TOP GUILDS.png Top guilds according to total points (Season 94 | Tier 2)

Other guilds to note were Team Possible and Knights United, which finished #4 and #7, respectively. Also a huge shout-out to Guardians of Glory for finishing #23 πŸŽ‰ As a reminder, Guardians is the newest member of the GLORY guild system.

The top players from Tier 2 came from a wide assortment of guilds shown below including @good-game from Guardians of Glory who took the top spot in Fray 1!

No doubt though, the most impressive performances came from @umiumi (24-1) in Fray 9 and @win-45 (24-1) in Fray 11. Both players had the same PPB score, and the same numbers of wins and losses, so the tie was determined by the player in the highest level fray, i.e., @win-45 in Fray 11, who took the πŸ†Season 94/Tier 2 - Top Brawler AwardπŸ† !!!

SEASON 95 BRAWLS

Season 95 | TIER 3

Season 95 may have only had two brawl cycle results, but it was far from short on excitement. For the first time in recent memory, it was The Guild of Neoxian that edged out the competition (even Summoner's Tribe and Immortal Gods) to take the #1 spot with 573 points. Congrats on this remarkable accomplishment! As anyone who has faced this degree of competition knows, taking over the top spot at this level of play is incredibly difficult to do.

SEASON 95 TIER 3 TOP Guilds.png Top guilds according to total points (Season 95 | Tier 3)

With that said, Immortal Gods and Summoner's Tribe finished a very close #2 and #3, with 564 points and 561 points, respectively. Legendary Dragons and Shield of Glory finished #4 and #5.

When it came to individual performance, The Guild of Neoxian, Immortal Gods and Summoner's Tribe dominated here as well. These three together fielded the top player in 14 out of 18 total frays.

SEASON 95 TIER 3 TOP Players.png Top players for each fray according to points per battle (Season 95 | Tier 3)

Although there were many outstanding performances, two players shined as brightly as it is possible to shine. @everythingsmgirl (15-0) from Fray 3 and @raynie (15-0) from Fray 7 swept both of their respective frays, achieving a perfect PPB score of 3.0. Again, since both players had the same PPB score, and the same number of wins and losses, the tie was broken by highest fray. Therefore, congrats to @raynie for winning the πŸ†Season 95/Tier 3 - Top Brawler AwardπŸ† !!!

Season 95 | Tier 2

Once again, Tier 2 did not disappoint last season. Pitched battles and pitted rivalries are starting to form, making Tier 2 just as much of an exciting arena to watch.

Team Possible jumped into the #1 spot with a total of 546 points. YGG Brawlers (sgard) came in #2 with 537 points. Hydra Kids, Hydra Wife and The Anti Social Club finished a close #3 and #4, respectively.

SEASON 95 TIER 2 TOP GUILDS.png Top guilds according to total points (Season 95 | Tier 2)

Also, another huge shout-out to Guardians of Glory for climbing higher up the leaderboard to #11 last season. Under the leadership of SoG officer (and amazing player/person @xsuilx), Guardians has been transformed from a guild on life-support into a top brawling guild---and in record time! πŸŽ‰ Not only that, but the comradery we are seeing from the Guardians crew on discord is infectious. We expect incredible things from them in the future.

SEASON 95 TIER 2 TOP PLAYERS.png Top players for each fray according to points per battle (Season 95 | Tier 2)

Among the top players for Tier 2, four of them swept both brawls. @phantom723 (16-0) from Fray 2, @sporon (17-0) from Fray 3, @mondroid (16-0) from Fray 4 and @th13-fu (14-0) from Fray 11, all achieving a perfect PPB score of 3.0. Of these players, @sporon had the most overall wins and therefore takes the πŸ†Season 95/Tier 2 - Top Brawler AwardπŸ† !!!

FRONT ROW SEAT

Alright, so you've studied the stats, you've seen the winners, and you know all there is to know about brawls from the past two seasons. Now it's time to just sit back, relax, take a FRONT ROW SEAT, and finish up by watching some really fun brawl battles.

For example, here you can watch @clove71 from Immortal Gods use a Lama/Quora combo to tear through @vcdragon from Peakmonsters[Premiere]. Keep an eye out for the moment near the end when epic Earth Gladius Quora Towershead goes face-to-face with legendary Neutral Gladius Tatiana Blayde---you won't want to miss it!

Here you can watch @cryptomancer from Roaring Twenties call on his namesake legendary beta summoner CRYPT MANCER to summon Death Gladius Liza Fox. She then proceeds to rain down ranged attack, after ranged attack on @bp9930 from Peakmonsters[Vikings], and Life Gladius Captain Katie, until Captain Katie is no more...

In a relatively one-sided battle here, Shield of Glory member @ducecrypto used a Gold Foil Byzantine Kitty to summon Water Gladius Isgald Vorst, then proceeded to obliterate powerhouse opponent @spirits4u from Legendary Dragons. The latter relied on a Gold Foil Yodin Zaku in an EXPLOSIVE WEAPONRY ruleset (where all monsters already had blast) as well as Fire Gladius Sarius.

In another great matchup, @bulldog1205 from Summoner's Tribe chose summoner Lorna Shine and Life Gladius Hugo Strong here to take down @samsemilia7 from Legendary Whelps. The latter went with summoner Tyrus Paladium and fellow Life Gladius Ajax Lightfoot but they were simply outgunned in the end.

Interestingly though, @jacekw from Summoner's Tribe used a similar lineup here, but with very different results! This time, the combination of Tyrus Paladium and Ajax Lightfoot worked well to take down rival @xawi from The Guild of Neoxian. The latter used legendary beta summoner Valnamor to summon Water Gladius Isgald Vorst, but it was simply not enough. Watch until the very end to see the final trample kill by a Gold Foil Silvershield Knight!

Finally, here we see @xsuilx from Shield of Glory summon forth a Gold Foil Quora Towershead, Hydra and Oaken Behemoth, among other monsters, to take down @wolf-sl from Legendary Dragons. This was an utterly stacked lineup on both sides. wolf-sl countered by summoning a Gold Foil Prince Rennyn, Kron the Undying and Cornealus, but in the end it just wasn't enough. If you love nothing more than Gold Foil cards, then watch this battle. You won't be disappointed!

Conclusion

Ok, well that's all we have for you now folks. If you are heading to Las Vegas for #splinterfest then have an amazing time! And remember, the way we set this up, more upvotes = more #hive delegation rewards going directly to the top #splinterlands brawlers each season. So keep those UPVOTES AND RE-BLOGS coming!
