My Strategy for Low Mana Battles with the Fire Deck

Hello everyone, welcome to another post about Splinterlands. In this post I will talk about a combination of cards that I really like to use when I have little mana available in battle.

When the available mana is low there are many strategies you can use, I particularly like to rely on the attack and for that the fire deck is the perfect choice, it has several powerful cards, mainly cards with melee attack and they will be even better when you combine with a summoner like Tarsa or Malric Inferno.

The focus is low mana so the cards that I consider great choices for the battle are: Cerberus, Tenyii Striker, Uraeus, Kobold Miner, Goblin Shaman and Fire Beetle.

Most of these cards are melee so it will be of great help to choose a summoner that increases the melee attack like Tarsa and Malric Inferno as I mentioned before, both will increase the melee attack of your cards and their mana cost is low so they are great choices.

To better demonstrate how these cards are good choices I will show their potential through a battle in the silver league.

  • Malric Inferno will be the summoner you choose for battle, he will increase the melee attack of my cards by +1 and his mana cost is 3.

  • Cerberus costs 4 mana and he will be your defense in the first position, he has a good amount of melee attack and also the Heal ability that will be of great help since it will make him restore part of his health 1x per round .

  • Tenyii Striker costs 5 mana, its mana cost is not very low but it is a great card, its melee attack is high and it has the Sneak ability that will make it target the opponent's card that is positioned in the last position, he also has the Dodge ability that will increase his chances of dodging melee and ranged attacks by +25%.

  • Uraeus costs 3 mana, he is also a melee card and has the Sneak ability, this means that his target will be the opponent's card positioned in the last position.

  • Kobold Miner costs 2 mana, he is also a melee card and has the Sneak ability, this means that his target will be the opponent's card positioned in the last position.

  • The Goblin Shaman costs 3 mana, it is a card with a magic attack and has the Weaken ability, this means that it will reduce the life of my opponent's cards by -1 while he is in battle.

-The Fire Beetle costs 3 mana, it is a card with ranged attack and has the Snipe ability, this means that its targets will be cards with ranged or magic attack.

BATTLE

Watch the Battle

In this battle there are no rules so I won't have to worry about any disadvantages, the amount of mana available is 23 and that's the exact value of all the cards I mentioned before combined.

My focus in battle will be mainly on my opponent's backline since I have several cards with the Sneak ability and also a card with the Snipe ability, and this was a great choice because my opponent's card that is defending in first position has a lot of health so it wouldn't be easy to defeat her quickly.

In the first round I managed to defeat 3 of my opponent's cards, one of them was the Tenyii Striker which was one of his main sources of attack so it was a great start, but I ended up losing the Fire Beetle, now the battle is 5 vs 3.

In the second round I lost to Uraeus and my opponent lost to Serpentine Spy, it was a good round and I still have the upper hand as it is now a 4v2 battle.

In the third round the battle came to an end even before my opponent was able to attack, my speed was higher and my attack was powerful so with few attacks I achieved victory.
