Attacking without being a target, meet Magi Necrosi

Cards with magic attack are usually great choices because they are able to attack in any position, their attack can go through the shield and directly attack their target's life and they usually have excellent abilities to have in a battle.

In this post I'm going to talk about a card with a magic attack in particular, its name is Magi Necrosi I'm going to explain how this card works and also show it in battle.

Who is Magi Necrosi?

Magi Necrosi is an epic card from the chaos legion edition that belongs to the death deck, this means that you will be able to use this card in the modern format and in the wild format and it will only appear to be selected if you use the death deck as your main or secondary deck in case you choose the dragon or neutral deck.

To be able to use it in your battles you will need to buy or rent it since the Magi Necrosi is not one of the ghosts cards available and even if it was one I believe you would still have to buy or rent it since using the ghosts cards would affect your game winnings.

There are actually 3 options: Buy the card on the marketplace, rent the card on the marketplace or try your luck opening chaos legion packs.

In the option to buy or rent the card, you will only need to go to the marketplace within Splinterlands.

After going to the marketplace you will need to look for the card and to make it easier you can filter by: Edition - Chaos Legion / Rarity - Epic / Element - Death.

After finding the card and clicking on it you will have the option of For Sale to buy the card and option of For Rent to rent the card, after deciding you will only need to select the card for a value and pay in DEC or Credits.

Besides buying or renting you can also buy chaos legion packs to try your luck and each pack will cost you 4000 DEC or 4000 Credits. The tip I give is to choose the option to pay with DEC because you will pay less since the DEC is below $0.001.

Each pack will give you 5 random chaos legion edition cards, at least 1 of which will be of rare or higher rarity.

You also have the option to buy the pack through the Hive Engine for an even lower price but buying through there will not be eligible for chaos legion edition airdrops.

Stats and Abilities

Now that you know how to get Magi Necrosi, let's talk about its uses in battles since this is the main function of a card in Splinterlands currently.

In the image above you can have an overview of the Magi Necrosi card, it is an epic card, it has 6 levels and 4 abilities. In terms of basic stats (attack, speed and health) he can already be considered a good card since his attack is not low, his speed is not low either and he has a reasonable health.

His Abilities are: Snipe, Camouflage, Opress and Stun.

Enable Level 1 (Snipe)

Targets enemy Monsters with Ranged, Magic, or no attack that are not in the first position. This is a great ability so that the full focus of your damage is not on the tank card that is usually in first position.

Enable Level 1 (Camouflage)

This ability makes Magi Necrosi not the target of attacks until it is in first position. Magi Necrosi's health isn't low but that doesn't mean it can't be taken down easily, so not being targeted so it can attack freely makes Camouflage a great ability for it.

Enable Level 4 (Opress)

Does double damage when attacking an enemy that has no attacks. Cards that do not have an attack are common in battles so this ability can be very useful for your opponent's defenses to be defeated more easily.

Enable Level 6 (Stun)

When a Monster with Stun hits a target, it has a 50% chance to stun the target causing it to skip turns until the stunning monster had its turn. This may cause some monsters to miss 2 turns or to miss 0 turns.

These are Magi Necrosi's abilities and also an explanation of its basic stats, now let's look at Magi Necrosi in battle.

BATTLE

In battle I used Magi Necrosi only at level 2 because my summoner was also only at level 2, so its usefulness was reduced since only at higher levels does it have more attack and abilities but it was enough to show a little of its power in battles.

Watch the Battle

The battle had 30 mana available to both players and the Armored Up rule which granted +2 shield to all monsters in battle.

My choice of summoner was Zintar Mortalis which reduces the melee attack of my opponent's cards, usually I use Drake of Arnak too but as there is the Armored Up rule then he would not be my best choice so Zintar Mortalis fits better for this battle since the chances of my opponent having melee cards are not low.

My opponent chose Kelya Frendul as his summoner, she grants +1 shield and +1 speed to his cards and this is also a good choice since having more shield is also a good thing. On the side of my opponent's cards he had 2 melee cards so having Zintar Mortalis as my summoner can already be considered a good thing since these cards will cause less damage thanks to him.

  • The battle started and both sides had a great defense, mainly against melee and ranged attacks since all the cards had a shield. My biggest obstacle at the beginning was my opponent's card that was in the first position (Diemonshark) since he had a huge amount of shield, but I had a card that would be my salvation, this card is the Weirding Warrior with its ability Shalter and it took only 1 attack from him for all of Diemonshark's shield to be destroyed. After that, the battle became much easier as my opponent's main defense was vulnerable and it took only a few attacks to defeat it.

  • Right after Diemonshark was defeated I was one step closer to victory and having cards with magic attack like Magi Necrosi is very useful when there is Armored Up rule in the battle since magic attacks ignore the shield and attack directly the health, besides Plus with the ability Camouflage I wouldn't have to worry about Magi Necrosi being targeted by attacks, so it could attack freely until it was in 1st position.

  • At first the Magi Necrosi was not as useful as I wanted because its focus was on my opponent's Djinn Oshannus so the amount of damage it dealt was reduced and this greatly affected its usefulness in battle, but it didn't take long for the Djinn Oshannus stayed in the first position and Magi Necrosi had other cards as its targets and that's when it started to be more useful since it would have my opponent's back line as its target and it was very useful to defeat the cards with little life.

  • After a great exchange of attacks, my opponent's cards were being defeated one after the other, mainly with the help of Silent Sha-Vi since she had a powerful attack that ended up destroying the back line completely with each attack.

  • It didn't take long until my opponent's Djinn Oshannus was left and I still had a lot of cards so he couldn't resist and ended up being defeated and making me achieve victory.

  • In the end there were 4 of my cards left in the battle and Magi Necrosi didn't need to be a target because he didn't reach the first position.

  • At higher levels it is more useful because it has more attack and more abilities but even so not being a target gives you a big advantage in battles and in rules like Armored Up it becomes even more useful because it is a card with a magic attack, so in the end he was an excellent choice for battle.

That was my post about the Magi Necrosi card, if you want you can also look and participate in my daily giveaway that can be found on my blog. Bye!
