Hi! I'm Peter, and this is my splinterlands contribution for this week's fan art contest. It's been a while since I started doing fan art in Splinterlands, and I'd want to thank my hive friends for assisting and guiding me through the process. Now, I did my hardest to make this painting look amazing by merging black and white.
Fan Art Illustration Description
The minotaur is charging into the desert, a sandstorm trailing behind him.
"Minotaur warrior" is the inspiration for this fan art. I've already drawn a minotaur and liked how it turned out, so now I'd like to try out my new color blending technique.
Drawing Process
First, we need to generate a drawing draft for the art we're going to make, so do so before it looks like this. I looked for a good figure to sketch this week and decided on the Minotaur Warrior, who not only looks awesome but also has a badass physical structure.
Second, I sketch the outline of the drawing, then adjust the other line parts to match the look of the minotaur warrior.
The third step is to give the character color; the color scheme is based on that of a minotaur warrior. Because I only used the fill tool to color the sections, this was the easiest part for me.
The fourth step is to add highlights and shadows, which is the most difficult for me because it took me several hours to complete. But the finished effect is so rewarding that it inspires me to create more art in this style.
The fifth step is to add the background. For this step, I went with a simple background rather than a fancy one. This time, I believe a powerful and brave warrior will walk. Finally, the desert is the greatest option. With a potentially fatal calamity behind him.
Sir Castleberry, thank you so much for always supporting my fan art. Also, for my fellow hive members. This type of encouragement encourages people to keep generating fan art. Thank you for visiting!
