Magi of Chaos in the Spotlight

Hello Splinters
The past weeks have had their own source of excitement, It's now this week's turn. Before I proceed, I would like to state that this week has actually been one of the toughest in splinterlands games play for me. It's more like the game is casting me out, although I know this might be affecting everyone the rental market seems a bit not friendly since the beginning of this season. I hope the admins of splinterlands look into this matter and make the rentals more affordable for middle and low-class players.

Sorry for that above paragraph, I don't usually enjoy complaining but just have to do that. Anyway, at least we still got to share battle even in the bad situation.

This week has brought in front of us another battle-share opportunity for splinterlands players. Just as it is customary to have a card in the spotlight, the neutral magic splinter "MAGI OF CHAOS" steals the headline of the week. Being a participant doesn't require much but only understand the required rules. ALRIC STORMBRINGER: According to the lore, Alric is the oldest azmarean summoner that founded the modern arts of chaos magic. It is a rare card from the water element with the offer of plus one magic damage to all friendly monsters. For magic battles such as this with the rule giving armor to the monster, the magic enhancer summoner is required which explains the choice of Alric as the chosen summoner.

VENARI WAVESMITH: Despite the extra armor set rule, Venari Wavesmith with the protect ability was positioned in the front roll, giving an additional two armor to all friendly monsters taking them further belong the reach of the likes of melee and ranged attack monsters. Venari Wavesmith is a magic attack monster with one magic damage, two speed, and three health for the card level used in the battle.

MAGI OF CHAOS: Being the theme for this week's battle challenge, this card followed Venari in the middle position. Sighting on the battlefield is Magi with two magic damage enhanced to three by the summoner, two speeds, and six health.

MEDUSA: Next was Medusa with got the back position. Medusa also as a magic attack monster has one magic damage plus another one from the summoner which made it two. Medusa fought with two battling speeds and four health. Although it has the stun ability, that wasn't applicable to this battle due to the fact it wasn't deployed at a higher level.

Questions & Answers from the Battle

Did the Strategy work? In short, the strategy was a success. It's the best suit to the set rule which offers physical contact protection to the monsters but doesn't protect them from magic. Adding more armor to the one given by the set rule even made it harder for the enemy side to get to my monster's health. The strategy, however, can be considered to be 100% effective following the outcome and the fact that no monster was lost from my team.

What is my take on the Magi of Chaos card? For me, it's not an everyday used card but that doesn't make it any less important. Monsters with two magic damage are valued in my team talk-less of when they fight alongside a magic enhancer summoner. The health of this card isn't also that bad. In my rating, Magi falls in the class of average cards.

That will be all for this week.

Again, I'm hitting the pause button here for this week. I'd hope to see you next week when I hit the resume button
