It's been a difficult task to carry everything along including my constant appearance in this space. Notwithstanding, my desire to be here is far from fading and I shall always be here when I can. Apologies to all my audience, I know my long absence might have created a gap but here I am again.
When I came across the theme chosen for this week, it was kind of irresistible so I had to come up with something just as I always do. The battle challenge of this week has given us a blank space to fill with our knowledge of a legendary splinterlands monster " Spirit Hoarder". Following my usual pattern, the Battle challenge weekly is made for all interested fellows who play the game and know one or two about it. Spirit Hoarder
First, let me take to the lore tab description of this monster.
In the event of invading the Praetorias, the chaos legion opened its portal. There was a great vortex tugged at the edges of time and space drawing in matter from other realms. The vortexes of these portals were so powerful that they drew in other beings against their will, robbed of their own world. There came the presence of the spirit hoarder in praetoria lands with no one knowing their source of origin. They wished for its return and no longer blight the Splinterlands with its wicked presence.

A Glance at the Spirit Hoarder Built-in Stat
Just like many of its kind, the Spirit Hoarder operates in four different levels, with the first level having the Triage ability, the second having Triage & Dispel ability, and the last two levels having Triage, Dispel & Blind ability. The speed and health of this monster remained unchanged in the entire four levels. Apart from the noticeable changes in special ability, another change can be seen in its magic damage which increased to two.

Using the peakmonster market, this monster can be found in two categories which are the sales market & the rental market. The image below shows a pictorial expectation of the cost of purchasing this monster both in the regular settings and the gold foil settings.

In the second category which is the rental market, this monster is rented for as low as 0.4DEC/day or less, and as high as 60DEC/day or higher depending on the owner's price choice and most of the time being patient can get you cheaper once.

My Team Selection
Obsidian
Given the option to choose between only three elements, the earth element came to mind following the fact that it has dangerous magic monsters with low speed. Obsidian as a magic enhancer monster was chosen to summon its followers. Obsidian was a perfect choice since my intended strategy lies on magic and the chosen level was able to summon monsters from level four.
Flesh-Golem
Flesh Golem being a healthy self-healing monster was a suitable match for a defender position. Golem came in from level four with three melee damage. From the battle, it is observed that the healing nature of Golem brought about the success of the team.
Queen-Mycelia
With the presence of this monster, I wonder what would have been the fate of my team following the fact that they had to go against the legendary Yodin Zaku summoned team. Mycelia's protect ability made one of the most significant contributions that led to the team's success. The 2 armor her team members enjoyed from her saved them from the wrath of Yodin's blast. Mycelia did not only protect, but she also fought hard although she left the battlefield quicker than any other team monster.
Mushroom-Seer
It was kind of hard to predict which element the enemy would go for, as such preparations were made to cover some important grounds. The presence of monsters such as mushroom 🍄 seer was needed to prepared against possible magic side. Unfortunately, the enemy told another route which made the silencing ability deployed by this monster waste. The three magic damage deployed by this monster contributed to the team's success.
Spirit Hoarder
Legendary Spirit Hoarder is never a pushover in any battle. It is blessed with special abilities that are needed for winning battles. It contributed by providing two magic damage and also a triage ability.
Wood Nymph
Any earth battle without a healer always seems incomplete. The presence of the monster contributed both magic damage and healing to the front-row monster.
Mycelic morphoid
To complete the remaining one mana, mycelic morphoid was selected to fill in the space. The reality, its purpose isn't to fill up space actually because it can fight and also has the thorn ability which melee monsters fears.
The Game Strategy
The rule set of the game requires monsters with low speed and if possible, total avoidance of using melee monsters. It can be seen that my strategy was magic based. Unavoidably, I place a melee in front because I believe in what it can do even when the odds are against it. Apart from the magic strategy, the healers and protection abilities also contributed in the strategy.. The strategy was a success even when it had to face the reputable legendary Yodin Zaku.
My thought of the Spirit Hoarder Monster
On a general note, this monster is not an everyday used monster for me but it's surely very important in every team. It's an average monster from my rating. I'd love to have it someday because right now I only rent to be able to use it.
