How Chaos Agent Wreak Havoc Without Detection

Greetings to all Splinterlands players! this is my entry for Social Media Challenge this is a popular event held by Splinterlands every week. The theme today is Chaos Agent, this is 1 mana cost monster with a great ability to Dodge Any attack. Usually, it only has 4 HP but in this battle will change.

This is a battle in the Modern Format Diamond League, I played with my scholar account from Balthazar.

The guide presents a strategy on how to advance through the ranks by utilizing reasonably priced or cheap-to-rent monsters that can still prove effective.

Ruleset

From left to right :

  • Silenced Summoner, summoners do not give any stat buffs or debuffs or grant/use any abilities.
  • What doesn't kill you, all monster has the enrage ability.
    • Enrage ability, has increased melee attack and speed when damaged, multiplier x1.5 rounded up.
  • Equalizer, the initial Health of all Monsters is equal to that of the Monster on either team with the highest base Health.
  • Have a mana cap 50.
  • We can choose the element of Life, Death, and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

We will first talk a bit about the ruleset :

  • Silenced Summoners, there were 2 choices always choose the lowest mana summoner in low mana battle and Dragon in high mana battle. If you don't have a summoner with low mana in low mana battle then choose Dragon, because when you choose Dragon u can use 2 elements in battle. Monsters in the Dragon element have great damage, speed, HP, Armor, and useful skill. The weakness of the Dragon element is many monsters have a high mana cost.
  • Enrage, just hope that luck is on our side so the monster which activates the Enrage ability has high damage and can attack an easily killable monster.
  • in Equalizer ruleset there were several guides:
    • Fill all the position slots, because all monster has the same HP, and can give extra tank.
    • Trying to focus fire, all monsters attack the same enemy monster.
    • Bring a monster with high damage, HP doesn't matter anymore.
    • If you can always bring a monster with the ability Heal (Heal, Tank heal, Triage).

For this battle with high mana, we choose to use the Dragon element and Life as the second element to maximize the damage and speed. We focus on attacking the enemy monster in the first position, and bring monster with tank heal.

Summoner/monster and AbilitiesDescription
Quix the Devious (summoner), not give buff or debuff because of the ruleset Silenced SummonersI used this summoner so I can use 2 elements in this battle
Chaos Agent 1st Position, Tanker, Has Ability Dodge, Phase, and BackfirePlaced in the first position because it has the ability to avoid various types of enemy attacks, both Melee, Magic, and range. With the Dodge ability it increases the chance of avoiding enemy attacks by 25%, Phase allows this monster to avoid magic-type attacks, and Ability Backfire makes every attack that is successfully avoided a return to the enemy and deals 2 damage, in this battle we want to maximize this ability.
Carnage Titan, 2nd Position, Attacker, and 2nd Tanker, has the ability Reach, Double Strike, and Shield.Placed in second position because with Reach ability you can attack from second position and Ability Double Strike will make this monster attack twice each round with total damage of 8. Shield ability makes melee attack or range damage reduced by 1/2. The Equalizer Ruleset and armor of 7 make this monster very suitable to be placed in second place as a second tanker.
Time Mage, 3rd position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Slow, and Rust.Has ability support such as Slow which can reduce all enemy monsters by 1 damage and also reduce enemy armor by 2. Time Mage will help Chaos Agent to have a higher chance to evade enemy monsters. Has pretty good magic damage of 3 and a high speed of 5. Placed in this position to be safe from enemy attacks.
Adelade Brightwing, 4th Position, Attacker and Support, has the ability to Flying, Repair, Resurrect, Immunity, and Swiftness.Same like Time Mage, placed in this position to be safe from enemy attacks. Ability Flying will increase the chance of dodging enemy range and melee attack by 25%. Resurrect ability which is very useful for reviving our monsters after their HP reaches 0. Ability Swiftness will help Chaos Agent reach even higher speeds.
Venari Crystalsmith, 5th Position, Attacker and Support, has the ability Tank Heal, and Dispel.The position was chosen to ensure safety from enemy attacks at the front, with the aim of prolonging survival. Thus you can use the Tank Heal ability to restore the monster's HP in the first position. Ability Dispel is useful for removing positive buffs from enemy monsters such as the effects of abilities Martyr, Swiftness, Bloodlust, etc. As an attacker has pretty good damage and speed.
Chaos Dragon, 6th Position, Attacker and Tanker, has the abilities Flying, Scattershot, Blast, and Blind.Placed in the last position with big armor, HP, and also the ability Flying, I hoped can withstand attacks by monsters that have sneak abilities (attack monsters in the last position), and protect Venari Crystalsmith in 5th position as long as possible. This monster cannot work together with other monsters to focus fire, because the Scattershot ability will cause attacks from this monster to hit enemy monsters randomly. Even so, this monster is still used in the battle this time because it has a large magic attack of 4, and also the Blast ability will cause this monster's attack to hit the attacked monster and also deal damage to the surrounding monsters. Has the Blind ability which will increase the ability to dodge all of our monsters by 15% against range and Melee attacks.

The Battle

Round 1 :
The battle begins with buffs and debuffs from both sides.
Chaos Agent has a greater speed than Coeurl Lurker because we bring Time Mage and Adelade Brightwing

  • After being hit and his HP reduced. the speed of Chaos agent become 8 and enemy monster Coeurl Lurker becomes 5.
  • Carnage Titan which was hit by a blast effect from Chaos Dragon activates the Enrage ruleset increasing its attack and speed to become a monster that has 12 damage per round (2x attack with Double Strike).🤩
  • Attacks from Coeurl Lurker, Oshuur Constantia, Doctor Blight towards the Chaos agent were successfully avoided and activated the Backfire ability which returned the attack and dealt 2 damage.

Round 2 :

  • Attacks from Coeurl Lurker, Oshuur Constantia, Insidious Warlock, Doctor, Blight towards Chaos Agent were all avoided causing damage to enemy monsters by 2.
  • All monsters are still alive until this round.

Round 3 :

  • Enemy Coeurl Lurker dies from Time Mage attack and is revived by Oshuur Constantia.
  • Coeurl Lurker dies the second time he gets Blast effect by the Chaos Dragon's attack
  • The attacks from Doctor Blight and Oshuur Constantia on the Chaos Agent were successfully avoided, and received a counterattack of 2 damage.

Rounds 4 :

  • The enemy monster Clockwork Aide dies from Carnage titan's attack
  • The enemy monster Oshuur Constantia dies from Venari Crstalsmith's attack
  • The attacks from Chaos Dragon, Insidious Warlcok, Doctor Blight on our Chaos Agent were successfully avoided. Doctor Blight, who only has 2 HP, dies from a counterattack from Chaos Agent Backfire ability. Doctor Blight was hit by Chaos Dragon Before so only left 2 HP.
  • In this round, the victory was visible because there were only 2 enemy monsters left with not too much HP.

Round 5 :

  • Both Chaos Dragon and Insidious warlock were both killed by the Carnage Titan with his Double strike ability and victory is ours.

Did your strategy work?

Yes, the strategy goes well, buff Swiftness from Adelade Brightwing, debuff slow by Time Mage, and Blind ability from Chaos Dragon allows Chaos Agent to avoid almost all attacks, assisted by Tank Heal ability from Venari Crystalsmith, making this monster survive until the end of the round and give enemy monster many damages because of Backfire ability.

The enemy carries a lot of magic attack type monsters that have low speed, so the Chaos Agent can easily avoid the attack.
Because of our high speed, we managed to swiftly kill the enemy tanker Coeurl Lurker who relied on evasion to survive.

We were able to swiftly defeat the enemy tanker Coeurl Lurker, who relied on evasive tactics for survival, due to our fast speed.
