Ruleset

I play in Champion III League Modern Format.

  • Wands Out ruleset, only monsters with magic attack can be used in this battle.

  • Equal Opportunity, all monsters have Opportunity ability. Opportunity Ability, all monsters will attack the enemy monsters with the lowest HP.

  • Silenced Summoners ruleset, all summoner abilities, buff, and debuff disabled.

  • Mana Cap.

  • Can use Fire, Earth, and Dragon elements.

My Lineup and strategy

My Thinking :

  • In the Silenced Summoners always choose Dragon so we can use 2 elements or choose the summoner with the smallest mana.
  • Many powerful and useful magic monsters have small HP, The Equal Opportunity ruleset will kill this monster quickly.

We decided to use Dragon Element so we can use Earth element which has a monster with Taunt ability, to protect our weak magic monsters and make our magic monster in the first position live longer.

My lineup:

~~~~~Summoner/Monster~~~~~
Description
Quix the Devious, We used this summoner so we can use the monster in the Dragon element.
Void Dragon, 1st positon. We used this monster as a tanker because all of the ability is useful against magic attacks, with High speed and Flying ability we can evade many magic attacks from the slow monsters. Usually, magic monsters are slow.
Spirit Hoarder, 2nd positon. We use this monster because have Triage to heal our monster with the Taunt ability Mycelic Slipspawn, the Blind ability will help Void Dragon increase the chance to evade magic attacks by 15%
Goblin Psychic, 3rd positon. We used this monster because all the abilities very useful in this battle Silence will reduce the enemy magic attack by -1. Tank heal will help our Void Dragon or another monster in the first position to live longer. Dispel in case the enemy brings a monster with Martyr or Bloodlust abilities. We put it here to protect our Djinn Biljka our last monster who only has 2 HP.
Djinn Biljka, 4th positon. Only requires 3 mana but has great damage of 3, The HP is only 2, so I put it in the last position. Although the 5th position has our last monster with the Taunt ability Mycelic Slipspawn. Usually, only after our monster with the Taunt ability death, our monster in the last position started to move to the front.
Mycelic Slipspawn, 5th positon. This monster will help to split the damage with a monster in the first position, giving us time so our attacker with high damage can kill the enemy monster, and our tanker in the first position can live longer.
The Battle
Buff and Debuff at the first round.
The enemy uses a monster with the Taunt ability Mycelic but puts it in the first position so that it receives attacks from all 5 of our monsters, while we put our Mycelic in the last position so that it only receives 4 attacks from the enemy's monsters.
  • Round 1 :
    No monsters died in this round, because the high speed and Fly from Void Dragon ability can avoid attacks from enemy Mycelic. Unfortunately, in this round, our Mycelic was hit by the Affliction status from Goblin Psychic so he couldn't receive any more healing from the Spirit Hoarder.
  • Round 2 :
    In this round the enemy Mycelic Slipspawn was killed by our Goblin Psychic, even though our Mycelic was no longer able to receive healing, it could survive until the end of this round.
  • Round 3:
    After the enemy monster that has a large HP Mycelic dies, we can easily kill the enemy Spirit Hoarder and Djinn Bjilka, because they only have 2 and 3 HP.
    The enemy Goblin Psychic advances to the first position, and only 2 monsters remain on the enemy side. Meanwhile, the number of our monsters has not decreased. Our Mycelic was poisoned by Doctor Blight this round.
  • Round 4:
    Without having a chance to attack the enemy Goblin Psychic died in this round attacked by our Djinn Bjilka. With the death of Goblin Psychic, the Silence ability from Goblin Psychic disappears and our magic damage increases to +1. Doctor Blight moves to the first position and attacks our Void Dragon but misses.
  • Round 5:
    Our Mycelic Slipspawn died from the effects of poison in this round. Doctor Blight tries to attack our Void Dragon but avoided by the Void Dragon. Doctor Blight received attacks from the Void Dragon, Djinn Bjilka, and finally died from being attacked by the Spirit Hoarder, and victory was on our side.
Did your strategy work?
The strategy works perfectly, Mycelic Slipspawn makes our attacking monsters temporarily safe from enemy attacks, so they are free to attack enemy monsters. Likewise, our monster Void Dragon from the Dragon element was able to survive until the end because it only received a few attacks due to the presence of Mycelic Slipspawn.
By combining monsters from both elements Earth and Dragon we have an advantage over the enemy.
