Ruleset

  • Taking Sides, Neutral monsters can't be used in this battle.

  • Aim True, attacks always hit their target.

  • Ferocity, all monster have Fury ability.

    • Fury ability, this monster does double damage to targets with the Taunt ability.
  • Mana cap.

  • can use elements Water, Earth, and Dragon.

My Lineup and strategy

  • For the Taking Sides ruleset we don't have a special strategy, all we know is that we can't use Uraeus Neutral monsters with the Sneak ability (attacking enemy monsters in the last position) usually Uraeus is paired with Pelacor Bandit. Therefore we will focus on Opportunity attacks (attacking enemy monsters that have the smallest HP).
  • Because Aim True our attacks will always hit the target and cannot miss. So that we can kill the enemy quickly we will use a monster who can remove some armor from the enemy monster and attack the monster with a high damage monster.
  • For the Ferocity ruleset, just make sure not to bring a monster with Taunt ability 😀.

We will use Water Summoner in this battle because Water Element has a very strong tanker, so we can be safe from attacks in the front and focus on attacking monsters in the back position. We also anticipate the enemy using the same strategy so we will strengthen the defense at the rear.

Summoner or monsterAbilitiesDescription
chrome_1rg3xTjkD7.pngSummoner Have Speed and armor buff +1 to our friendly monstersWith additional armor, the enemy melee and range attacker need to destroy the armor first before can decrease our HP. This armor will be very useful in this battle because of the Aim True ruleset, The increased speed will increase the chance to attack first and hit the enemy, and hope can kill the enemy before they can attack us.
Baakjira, 1st position, Tanker. Has the ability Void, Slow, Strengthen, and Heal. This monster is capable of defending against melee, ranged, and magical attacks. It has a high amount of health points, along with good defense abilities such as Void (reducing magic damage by 50%), Strengthen (increasing the HP of all allied monsters by 1), and Slow (reducing enemy speed by 1) this will increase the chance for our monster to attack first and kill the enemy monster, With high HP and Heal ability this monster has, it make this monster hard to kill.
Isgald Vorst,2nd position, attacker. Has the ability Bloodlust and Opportunity.Every time this monster kills the enemy all of the stats will increase by +1. With the Opportunity ability, this monster will attack enemy monsters with the smallest HP. We put this monster behind Baakjira because we think that Baakjira is a very strong tanker and it takes a long time for the enemy to kill him if they can, so this position is the safest position on this battlefield. We expect that this monster can kill many enemies.
Deeplurker 3rd position, attacker. Has the ability to Opportunity, Poison, and Demoralize. This monster has great damage of 5 and a speed of 4. With Isgald Vorst will work together to attack the lowest enemy monster HP. This monster has the ability to inflict Poison, causing the affected enemy's HP to decrease by 2 each round. The Demoralize ability will reduce all melee attacks from the enemy by 1. Placing this monster in 3rd position to protect our Isgald Vorst from Sneak attack.
Pelacor Bandit, 4th position, attacker. Has the ability Sneak, and Flying. This is the only monster with Sneak ability we have. With fast speed, and great damage, I hope can attack first and kill the enemy monsters. This monster will attack the enemy monster in the last position because has Sneak ability. Put in this position as a tanker if the enemy brings monsters with Sneak ability. This monster will protect Deeplurker from Sneak attack. We need more Deeplurker than this monster.
Angelic Mandarin, 5th position, attacker and support. Has Triage and Silence abilityIt has the Silence ability to reduce the enemy's magic attack by -1. I use it because it can heal using the Triage the monster who is not in the first position including itself, this will give more time for our attacking monster to kill the enemy monster before it gets attacked from behind.
Noa The Just, 6th position, tanker. Has the ability Rust, and Dodge. We use this monster because has the support ability Rust that will decrease all enemy monsters' armor by -2, giving our melee monster a higher chance to kill the enemy., before they can attack. Same as Baakjira this monster can't attack. This monster is put in the last position to receive an attack/tanker from the enemy monster with the Sneak ability, although it has high speed and Dodge ability but because of the ruleset, the enemy attack will always hit.

The Battle

  • Round 1:
This round starts with Buff and Debuff from both sides.
All of our monsters, which are the same as the enemy, have higher speed because Baakjira's Slow ability reduces all enemy speed.
The enemy also focuses on attacking our monsters with the smallest HP, they bring the same monsters as us Deeplurker and Isgal, apart from that they also prioritize attacking our monsters in the first position and bring Merdaali Guardian which can restore HP and armor.
With Noa most of the enemy monsters lose their armor. The attack is opened by our Pelacor Bandit who has the highest speed and attacks the enemy Angelic Mandarin. Then our Angelic Mandarin has the next turn to attack the enemy Diemonshark, this attack will be in vain for the time being because the Diemonshark will have its HP and armor restored by Merdaali Guardian. Even though the speed of Deeplurker and Isgald is also 5, we have to remember that according to the rules in the game Splinterlands ranged attacks will take priority first.
Our Deeplurker and Isgald attack Isgald the enemy who has the smallest HP and is in the front position, Merdaali Guardian the enemy has the same HP as Isgald but is in the front position. further back. Likewise, the enemy monsters Deeplurker and Isgald attack our monster Isgald.
Our tanker Baakjira receives attacks from Tide Biter, and Diemonshark enemies, but they won't be able to kill him because their total damage is 5 while each round Diemonshark will restore his HP by 5, so we won't discuss the battle on the front further until there are changes.

  • Round 2:
In this round Isgald the enemy was killed by our Deeplurker. No monsters die anymore, but our monster attacks with the Opportunity ability switch to Angelic Mandarin which has the smallest HP.

  • Round 3:
The enemy Angelic Mandarin died after being attacked by Pelacor Bandit and Deeplurker. Our Isgald also died after being attacked by the enemy's Deeplurker.

  • Round 4:
Our Pelacor Bandit attacks the enemy's Merdaali Guardian and kills him. The enemy Deeplurker attacks our Pelacor Bandit armor and gives a Poison effect. The next target of our Deeplurker is the enemy Tide Biter.

  • Round 5:
Our Pelacor Bandit has its HP reduced by -2 due to poison at the start of the round and attacks the enemy's Deeplurker leaving its HP at 4. Angelic Mandarin restores the HP of our Pelacor Bandit which has been reduced by poison. The enemy monster Tide Biter dead attacked by our Deeplurker. At the end of the round, only 2 of our Pelacor Bandit HP remained because they were attacked by Deeplurkers. I think we will win this battle because right now 5 our monsters VS 2 enemy monsters.

  • Round 6:
Pelacor Bandit died from the effects of the poison. Our Deeplurker who has faster speed attacks the enemy's Deeplurker and kills him. There was only 1 enemy monster remaining Diemonshark whose armor was destroyed by the attack from Angelic Mandarin.

  • Round 7-8:
There is nothing that Diemonshark can do even though he gets additional status from the ability Enrage but our attacks cannot miss because of the Aim True ruleset. After receiving attacks from Angelic Mandarin and Deeplurker many times, Diemonshark finally died on round 8 attacked by our Deeplurker. Victory become ours.

Did your Strategy Work?

Not all of our strategies work well, the strategies that work well:

  • Use a very strong tanker in the first position to protect other monsters in the back from forward attacks, the enemy can't kill our tanker until the end of the battle.

Use attacks focusing more on Opportunity abilities to kill enemies with the smallest HP as quickly as possible.

  • Reduce the enemy armor using Noa so that our monsters with Sneak and Opportunity ability can immediately reduce the enemy's HP if the enemy monster have little armor and kill them without being hindered by armor, you can see the armor difference at some monster at the below picture.

  • The speed we get from the summoner Kelya Frendul and reduce all enemy monsters' speed using Baakjira make many of the same card monsters with the enemy can attack first because have higher speed, Like Angelic Mandarin, Deeplurker or Isgald, you can see some armor difference too, Left picture is our monster, right picture is the enemy monster after done doing Buff and Debuff :
    • Angelic Mandarin :
    • Deeplurker :
    • Isgald Vorst :

A strategy that doesn't work:

  • Even though we have placed the Isgald monster with the Bloodlust ability in a place that we think is the safest, the enemy still attacks it because it has the smallest HP, so before we have time to kill the enemy and activate the Bloodlust ability, our monster has already died.
