Hello Splinterfans!
This week we have the new Battle Mage Secrets weekly challenge with the ruleset Lost Legendaries.
With this ruleset, you are limited to not be able to play matches with your legendaries. This can then mix things up abit and give you a chance to play monsters that you wouldn't normally play because you usually use legendaries.
On the one hand it can be tough to put a line up together without your favorite legendaries, but then you can get creative with your maybe not so often used monsters who don't usually get a chance because they are in the shadow of a powerful legendary.
In today's battle, I decide to use a mixed approach with strong melee attack backed up with some magic and ranged attack. How will it work out?

ROUND 1 - Grund vs - Mycelic Infantry
My opponent has decided to bring out the big guns with Quora being the biggest threat and very sneakily with Mycelic Infantry with his Giant Killer ability will make him a big threat to Grund, who is a giant!
With his shield ability, Mycelic Infantry also does not take so much damage from Grund as I would like but deals a lethal double damage back - a massive 10 hit!!! Things are looking bad and Quora didn't even start yet.. luckily my ranged and magic attack are targeting her.
Things are looking fragile for the start of round 2.
ROUND 2
Goblin Psychic doesn't have any trouble to take out Mycelic Infantry though.
ROUND 3 & 4
Round 3 starts off with me being outnumbered and Quora steps up to the tank position, but with only 1 health left. Is this enough to win through?
First I manage to take out their Hunter Jarx. Quora is 1 health short to finish of Goblin Psychic who duly finishes her off and heals himself.
Round 4 is a formality with an easy finish for my team. It feels good to take down Quora Towershead.
Summary:
The Lost Legendaries can be good fun to play with some of your stand in monsters playing a more prominent role. My opponent cleverly debuffed my melee attack and used the target practice ruleset to buff his best monsters.
This however was not enough on this occassion thanks to my magic and ranged attack coming through at the end.
How do you play the Lost Legendaries ruleset?
Thanks for reading.
