Hiya Splinterlanders :)
Is it a full bull run already? As always there is no certainty in the crypto market, but one thing is sure, we could see very positive sentiment around gaming cryptocurrency.
And how about Splinterlands? Hmmm, not perfect :). There is a very old ongoing discussion about listening SPS on major crypto exchanges. For sure it gives us more visibility on the broader market, but on the other side it could bring more speculating capital, which is not always a good idea. I will try to k keep on my toes around that topic.
And today, we have a ruleset: Equal Opportunity, something which changes quite a lot of targeting rules. Let's jump to the definition:
Description:
All units gain the Opportunity ability which allows them to attack the unit with the lowest health on the enemy team.
Firstly, the description of the ruleset in the game is not perfect, sometimes you got just general information which not giving you all information you need. Best way to read the full description as above from the game documentation at least once. You can check all here.
I seriously encourage you guys to check this site, here is the precise link, even more, advanced players could find something interesting there.
For example, you can find a very useful cheat sheet, in my prediction stream, people always forgot how different targeting abilities work with each other. Here is a simple table that could be useful:
Equal opportunity is another ruleset like in the previous week's equalizer, which seems quite straightforward. Of course with a high mana match sometimes you can completely ignore it and just play your best units, you just need to pay more attention to order. I think still the most obvious and often strategy is to play the taunt monster, which just protects any other low-health units. Until the new martyr units were released, I think playing without a taunt unit was a mistake in 95% of cases. But now, I think there are some good setups that utilize martyr ability with very high effectiveness. You can find some of examples in the blog prediction game at the end of this post. Let's see what I chose for today's battle.
Today's battle is Modern Silver Tier Brawl match. I think right now it's the most competitive mode in the game, so let's see what we got here.
The plan seemed quite solid, we used Demoralize from Quora and Mycelic Splispawn as a taunt.
The opponent went with hazardous gladiator unit: Ketralba
Round 1, is still the first round, I wanted to just show how important could be the taunt monster. If you cannot eliminate Ketralba that round, It could be a disaster :)
Round 3, we lost a bunch of cannon fodder after our Myclecic Slipspawn was killed, but still our main cannon is in the game, In Quora we trust :)
Round 4, now it will be very difficult to lose that battle, Bloolusted Buffed Quora is almost unstopable,
Final Blow - Round 5 - 6/6 and after that killed another buff :). Game over :D Ketralba was dangerous but this time our taunt setup with Quora was just better :).
Okay, so what went wrong? The setup (besides Pelacor) looked so strong: with armor for protection and lowered melee damage we should have an advantage here. Unfortunately, I got many similar battles, when Kelya was just a better summoner in water mirror matches. We got some Splinterlands.tv streams with a dedicated Prediction stream about it, and for my personal channel I have prepared another session with Possibilus , which should be scheduled this week (check my Twitter page: Maxmaka Splinterlands Corner for more details). Additional armor from summoner and speed usually is enough to make a difference. In our setup we had to use Bear, quite an expensive unit to get armor protection, it cost us a lot of damage power. Another important factor was speed, (you know my saying: speed is king :) ), our units didn't get even a chance to hit, because the opponent just killed them before :).
Overall with any battles without armor, Possibilus the Wise could be a better choice, but in any other cases I usually rely on Kelya and today's battle just proved it again.
Let's back to our today ruleset: opportunity. As I mentioned it seems not so complex in general concept. Usually, you have to use a taunt unit, and support for it is usually a good choice. You can compare a battle, where a no-taunt option was deliberately chosen with some martyr units setup. I think it could be a very nice surprise for opponents who expect a standard taunt setup. Let me know in the comments below if you see any other good setup which could be effective here :)
I hope you like this kind of report, battle, and strategy presentation. More strategy analysis, discussion, and prediction games you can find on my Wednesday Twitch Channel stream. There will be schedule soon :)
If you have any comments, please do not hesitate. Do you think I could improve anything just tell me :)

We continue our game from the previous week, today new battle, new card to win :).
I come up with some ideas, I hope you will like them and participate. Every week I will publish one battle, and your goal is to point out the first victim of the battle and who will be the winner. This game is exactly the same as my prediction game which I run on my Wednesday Splinterlands.tv stream. I know that not everyone can attend the stream, so I hope you will still have fun in that way. More about the rules can be read here.
Among all participants who get the correct answer, I will randomly (probably on my Wednesday stream) choose one winner.
The prize of the blog prediction game for the lucky winner will be the epic card:
Here we got the battle:
Game instruction:
Try to point out which monster will die first on the battlefield and who wins the battle
Examples:
t2b = monster on the second position of top player dies first, the bottom player wins
b6t = monster on the sixth position of bottom player dies first, the top player wins
t3t = monster on the third position of top player dies first, the top player wins
