If I had a choice I would not have had vouchers created from day one. The incentive for staking sps only made for the resources invested in Splinterland’s ever more diluted. Still years later we have these and developers have been trying very hard to find uses for them.
The most recent use is 40 vouchers per a season to play in the wild league. For me personally it has not effected my chances of partaking in battles since each day I collect close to four vouchers. Therefore by end of season I have more than enough to spend on the next season.
On the basis of staking 160k sps I don’t think many is in my position therefore to an outsider starting or player not having sufficient vouchers will need to spend just to keep up. This is where I feel lies a problem with vouchers. The need to spend resources to obtain vouchers is taking away resources that could be spent on other things such as renting cards or buying cards.
Price of voucher is in same pattern as other Splinterland’s assets. The token is dropping in Dakar even thought there are utilities for them. If there were not utility for vouchers I think it would have resulted in lose of token values anyways.
In the long run I do hope vouchers no longer become applicable in the game. That way one less asset to dilute the overall pool of Splinterland’s assets.
