What’s up my fellow splinterlands lovers!
Well, if you are not living under a rock, you must have got hit with the latest updates from the official splinterlands team about the release of their upcoming Rebellion card-set. This will be the fifth core edition card-set after alpha, beta, untamed and chaos legion. I will be talking a but about this grand update in this post today but before that, let me share my season stats first. Well, we have been playing this ranked season for over a week now and right now, only 4 days and 19 hours left for this ongoing season to end and I hope all of you are playing with your level best right now to reach their goal, be it a particular league or tier or one of those leaderboard spots. For me, as usual I am fighting in the Champion league and currently fighting at Champ II tier and trying to reach a spot in the Champ LB to secure one of those sweet dec rewards. My current trophy count is 4,225 as I lost way to much in the last day’s ranked playing, but today I will play and try to reach at least 4300+ trophies if luck favours my side. As only a couple of days left for this season to end, I am thinking to rent some important cards that I am missing right now and as the DEC price is increasing with a lightning speed right now, I hope renting requires a bit less dec than usual.
As the much awaited news has already aired that the rebellion edition card pre sale is around the corner, both the dec and vouchers prices are increasing at a blazing fast rate and the price of SPS has also started moving upwards gradually. If we look at the market, currently DEC is being traded at 0.00084$ per unit with an 11% increase in the last 24 hours and SPS is being sold at 0.0134$ per unit with a 5.6% increase in its price since the last day, not to mention that the vouchers have also risen high and even after a recent dip in its price, it is being sold for almost 0.03$ per piece. Along with the pump in all the tokens of splinterlands, there is a strong positive vibe being birthed among the splinterlands players and investors regarding this upcoming card-set edition and building organic hype for the upcoming ore sale which is about to happen during the middle of this month. However, the dip has still captured me badly so I have no chance to participate in the pre-sale, so I have decided to buy packs and cards from the secondary market if they become available at a cheaper rate. Right now, I still have some RW cards left to be added to my collection so I am focusing on getting those and looking for some cheap deals and already bought one RW max card recently.
Now, moving on to the Rebellion edition card-set, I guess you know that this will be the fifth core edition card-set in this game and the pre-sale of this edition is about to go live on 18th October this year at 18:00 UTC, so mark your calendar or create a reminder if you going to participate in the presale and acquire them fast. Now, let us look into some important stats about this card-set as announced in the official post.

- There will be a total of 96 cards in this upcoming edition card-set which will include 2 limited edition promo cards and 9 legendary airdrop cards. The 2 promo cards will only be available only during pre sale and will not be available in packs. The nine leg airdrop cards will be only available after they gets dropped later on. Also, please note that when this edition is released, the old untamed and dice edition cards will not be available to be used in modern format anymore and can only be used in wild format.
- Each rebellion pack will cost 5000 dec or 5000 credits, but buyers can use vouchers to get a discount on the price where each voucher used will reduce the cost by 200 DEC or credits and the maximum value that can be reduced by using vouchers is 20% or 1000 DEC/credits. Like all previous edition packs, Each Rebellion booster pack will contain 5 cards with at least one rare or above quality. The chances of getting higher type cards of gold foil cards will be same as of the previous edition packs and using legendary or alchemy potions will increase the chances to get legendary or gold foil cards as exactly used to be before. Also, please note that there will be bonus packs available if anyone buys in bulk quantity where 100 or above pack buys will get 5% extra, 500 or above pack buys will get 10% extra and 2,000 pack buys will get 15% extra but, a certain amount of vouchers will be required to get those extra bonus packs. There has been a reduction in bonus packs if you compare it with previous edition sales so that the pack prices do not fall too much down at the secondary market later on.
- A total of 500k of the Rebellion edition booster packs will be available in the pre-sale to be sold and the total number of Rebellion packs that will be minted will be 9.5 million, so the rest 9 million packs will be sold during the normal sale. The pre sale will continue for 30 days or until all the 500k packs get sold. If any amount of these 500k packs remains after the pre sale, they will get burned.
- These are the 2 limited edition promo cards that will be distributed to the pre sale buyers and will not be available in any Rebellion packs later on, so they will be super rare and costly as well, just like the Doctor Blight. Those 2 cards are legendary type MANTAROTH and Rare type GRIMBARDUN SMITH. For every 10 packs bought at the pre sale, the buyers will get one bcx of the rare promo card and the chance of each card turning gold foil is 4%. On the other hand, for each rebellion pack bought, buyers will get 1% chance to receive one bcx of the legendary promo card and at least one bcx guarantee per 100 packs bought during the sale and not to mention the chance of each card being a gold foil is same 4%.
