Hello my Splinterland lovers and gamers, I’m back again for this weeks share your weekly battle challenge. This weeks theme is “Dragons”. This is actually nice because there’s no specific dragon card so I’m eager to see the cards other players used for this challenge.
I didn’t have any dragon card to I proceeded to rent one. I was so confused at first because I had a lot of options and all the cards seemed really cool. I had to now pick based on their stats, abilities and how much mana it would cost since I wasn’t sure of how many mana cap I’d get.
Finally I made my choice!
Drum rolls please!
THE VOID DRAGON
While Uul waited for the next rift to open and for the assault to begin he became bored. Reaching for the roiling fumes above, he scooped a generous portion from the sky and played with it, morphing the noxious cloud into different shapes. When a fell bat swooped by, he threw the energy that had grown within the swirling mist at the creature, and the two collided in a fusion of angry hisses. What flew out of the resultant vapours was truly a wonder indeed. A sleek, almost feline body cavorted through the air; with multiple eyes and a peculiar bat-like snout, it was a dragon different from any that had come before. And it was of his own doing. Uul’s open maw twisted and stretched into what only could be referred to as a smile, as his new-born phased in and out of existence through the night’s shroud above.
There are rumors that since the rise of Praetoria and the formation of the chaos gate, strange demons have been sighted amongst the clouds above the new continent. Some have described them as huge bat-like creatures with incredible speed, others have sworn they are flying invaders from the other world, but to the scholars in Draykh-Nahka who have seen their images there is no doubt, these are new, uncatalogued sub-species of dragon. For reasons unknown, these creatures spend majority of their time hidden within the clouds, but from the limited studies done, it is evidenced they have a very strong resistance to magic and a predilection for hunting at night when the moon is full.
STATS OF THE CARD

In levels one and two the card possesses two abilities: Flying and void. Getting to levels three and four, there’s an additional ability known as the “Phase” ability.
From level one to three, the card has only x1 Magic attack which increases to two in level four.
It’s health points are seven at level one but it increases to eight in level two and finally to nine in level three and four.
The card also maintains x5 speed from levels one to four.
This card has no armor.
Now that I’ve chosen my card, I proceed to engage in a battle with faith that I would end up victorious
MY STRATEGY/ LINEUP

Name | Drake of Arnak |
---|---|
Mana Cost | Four |

This was the only dragon summoner available so I didn’t have much of a choice.
MONSTER 1

---|---|
Mana Cost | Eight |
Rarity | Legendary (Gold) |
Edition | Reward |
Health | Ten |
Attack | x2 Magic Attack |
Speed | x5 |

I picked this card because of it’s great stat abilities and it would do a great job holding my frontline throughout the battle.
MONSTER 2

Name | Void Dragon |
---|---|
Mana Cost | Five |
Rarity | Legendary (Gold) |
Edition | Chaos Legion |
Health | Seven |
Speed | x 5 |
Attack | x 1 Magic Attack |
Ability | Flying, Void |
I went with “Void Dragon” for a lot of reasons. Look at everything I was getting for just five mana; Double abilities, seven health points, x 5 speed and a Magic attack!
MONSTER 3
image is a screenshot
Name | Merdaali Guardian |
---|---|
Mana Cost | Three |
Rarity | Rare (Blue) |
Edition | Chaos Legion |
Health | Three |
Speed | x 2 |
Ability | Tank Heal |
The sole reason I picked “Merdaali Guardian” is actually because of its Tank Heal ability which would serve as a great asset to my first and second cards.
MONSTER 4

Name | Deep Lurker |
---|---|
Mana Cost | Six |
Rarity | Grey (common) |
Edition | Chaos Legion |
Health | Six |

Did my Strategy work?
Yes it did and I’m happy about it!
What will I try differently next time?
I would want to explore other Splints in collaboration with the Dragon Splint.
Do you like Dragons?
Yes I do
Why?
For one, I’m not narrowed down to just one card. I’m given the opportunity to explore other cards and make my selection while I choose cards from other splinters as well.
Thanks for reading!
