This weeks theme card is ”THE MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN”. It’s under the earth splint, one I’m not too familiar with but I’m determined to win this battle.
THE MYCELIC SLIPSPAWN
It was first found on the edges of the swamps of Praetoria, in areas where the forest and jungles meet with the fetid waters. It is highly toxic and also grows to a substantial size. Death is uncommon for those who touch its fibrous body however, the toxins have side effects which can cause a long list of illnesses and disease, leaving its victims severely handicapped.
When the chaos portal opened and the creeping plague infected the land, the Slipspawn struggled to pull through, being completely intolerant to the deadly pandemic. But then Queen Mycelia came, and touched the Slipspawn as she passed by and it drank from her power, an enduring energy that ran deep in her roots and defiantly cast the pestilence of the chaos taint aside. The Slipspawn pulled its roots free from the ground , willingly and eagerly danced across the leafy forest floor after her, desperate to follow its saviour and stand by her in the times to come.
STATS OF THE CARD

The card possesses the ‘Taunt’ ability from level one up to level three. In level four an additional ability is added, the ‘Forcefield’ ability which is maintained till level seven and then in level eight, a third ability is added - the ‘slow’ ability.
The card possesses two Magic attack from level to level five but it increases to three in level six which it maintains up till level eight.
In level one and two, the card also has two times (2x) speed. In level three it increases to three and it remains like that up until level eight.
Also, it’s health points start off at ten but increases to eleven in level two up till level four. It increases to twelve in level five and drops back to eleven in level six. It then rises back to twelve in level seven up until level eight.
This card has no armors.

I picked ‘Wizard of Eastwood’ because of the buff it had which could help destabilize my opponents and make it easier for me to win the battle.

I picked ‘Unicorn Mustang’ because of her great stats. She had x 3 melee attack, high speed and lots of health points. It was a good decision to make her my first monster, she had the ability to hold my frontline very well.

Asides the fact that ‘Mycelic Slipspawn’ was this weeks theme card, it has great stats, the health points were great.

With just six mana cap left I decided on the ‘Goblin psychic’. Mostly because of her tank heal ability, it would serve as an asset to my first and second cards.

Did my strategy work?
Yes it did. Although I was bummed about the fact that the ‘Mycelic Slipspawn’ was defeated before the end of the battle.
What will I try differently next time?
Most definitely a different line up and strategy.
