INFERNAL FIREBALLS OF DJINN INFERNI (Splinterlands Weekly Battle Challenge)

Fire faction of Splinterlands is known for its fiery attitude, monsters belonging to this element are gruesome and ready to turn their enemy into ashes with their affinity to fire.

Usually, they live deep down in hellish undergrounds, but they often come to the ground to ally with Dragons or fight with their adversaries. Fire units are masters of melee attacks, but they also have great magic wielders among them.

Djinn Inferni is one of the eldest fireballers and also a high-ranked individual. We'll use Djinn Inferni in this weekly battle challenge and learn about a powerful battle strategy.

Djinn Inferni is a renowned warden of fire who lives below the earth's surface in a place known as Rivers of Stone. He is the right hand of Lord Janai and therefore every fire monster sees him with the utmost respect.

He is the arch-enemy of Djinn Muriat because of his deception and joining forces with Chaos Legion. Now, he seeks revenge against Chaos forces and roams on earth's surface to find out their hideouts.

DJINN INFERNI CARD SKILLS AND ABILITIES

Djinn Inferni is an epic Fire element card that comes in Chaos Legion packs. The card has a powerful magic attack but it lacks health points.

The card has 'Giant Killer' ability at level 1 and receives 'Stun' at level 5.

RULESET

(Standard: Your ranged and melee attacks are guaranteed to hit enemy monsters.)

STRATEGY
This battle is played in Wild mode with 'Aim True' ruleset, the battle gives 42 mana allowance to use cards with high mana cost.

My strategy is to use heavy magic attacks on the enemy monsters and make their armor useless in battle. I have a total of 7 magic attack points in this battle, enough to down a beefy monster. Although my cards are low in level compared to enemy monsters, this strategy removes tanks from the battle very quickly.

Delwyn Dragonscale is chosen as the summoner, this card consumes 5 mana to place in the summoner's slot. It adds a +1 magic attack to all friendly monsters having magic attacks.

The first position is given to Forgotten One as a tank because he has 4 points of armor and 8 health points. He is also immune to negative status effects due to his 'Immunity' ability.

Technowisologist with magic attack sits at 4th position and he gains 3 magic attack points after being buffed by Delwyn with +1 to magic damage. He also stuns enemy monsters making them forget to attack for 1 round.

Djinn Inferni comes in 3rd position and he is loaded with 4 magic attack points. He proved to be the most effective monster in the battle.

Tenyii Striker in 4th position is used to attack the last monster in the backline, but he is less effective due to losing his 1 attack point because the enemy is using a Disintegrator card.

Whelp Herder as a 5th monster in the battle is used as bait to sneak and opportunity monsters and also to attack any monster with the lowest health using his 'Opportunity' ability.

Disintegrator is the last monster in my battle lineup, he has used to fulfill 2 goals, 1 to reduce enemy monsters' melee attack by 1 point and take hits from sneak monsters. He did a nice job lowering enemy melee attacks and saved my team from extra melee damage. He stays for 2 rounds and due to him taking melee hits from sneak monsters, he saves Technowisologist from going down in 2nd round.

Battle Video
This is a very intense battle that'll show you how powerful Djinn Inferni becomes and destroys the whole enemy team within 4 rounds.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

Tarsa throws a cloud of magic dust on her team making every melee attacker stronger and more powerful by enhancing their melee attack and health.

Delwyn Dragonscale's magic pendant shimmers and all magic attackers gain +1 point to their attacks. Disintegrators from both sides reduce all monsters' melee damage by 1 point.

Round 1
Djinn Inferni hurls a big fireball that is hotter than the lava and hits Living Lava making him very weak in the first round. Disintegrator is also severely wounded by 3 stealth monsters.

Technowisologist waves his hand and uses his trinket to deal heavy damage to Living Lava making him completely paralyzed and forget about the world.

Round 2
Inferni threatens Living Lava while conjuring another fireball "I bath in molten lava and busk in glory in depths of the volcano, let me make you dying Lava once and for all.", as the fireball hits Living Lava it surrounds him and then explodes him into thousand pieces of red stones.

Tenyii Striker and Serpentine Spy kill helpless Disintegrator and regain their melee attack power after getting free from Demoralize effect. Whelp Herder also tries his best by doing a little damage to Serpentine Spy.

Round 3
"You outsiders are very annoying creatures, I hate neutrals. Now, eat my fireball." says mighty Djinn Inferni. Then he wraps Disintegrator in a huge fireball and completely cremates him into ashes.

Serpentine Spy finds his next victim, he slaps Whelp Herder with his sharp and thorny tail and then cuts him in half with his sword.

Haha, I am Forgotten One, do you remember me, Tenyii?" asks Forgotten One, Tenyii responds "How could I remember a forgotten one."

"Nice joke, haha, now forget me forever." Forgotten one executes Tenyii with his heavy machete-like weapon.

Round 4
As Uraeus approaches the first position, Inferni burns him and makes a kebab-like snack out of him.

"I hate little buggers, filthy crappy spies." Technowisologist shows discomfort before sending Serpentine Spy into complete paralysis, "Good riddance."

"Yuk! this smell, exterminate this rodent." says the Forgotten One, and Scavo Chemist lays on the ground in a pool of blood.

STRATEGY OUTCOME ANALYSIS

Normally, it takes a lot of effort to defeat the Fire element team, but here we used magic and melee attack combination. Since most of the big hits were made by magic monsters, backline monsters also helped in keeping alive low mana magic monsters.

I think 'Stun' ability of Technowisologist has proved to be very effective for holding melee hits of Living Lava and Disintegrator, which is why in 3rd and 4th rounds, Forgotten One destroyed 2 of the opponent's monsters.

I also see a bit of luck in 2nd round that I lost Disintegrator first due to low health, otherwise Serpentine Spy can take Technowisologist as he had 2 health points at that time.

In a nutshell, the battle is played with a fun strategy of using heavy magic hitters. Both teams look equal in power but my team lacks health points. In the end, the strategy worked smoothly and I got the victory by trying this new battle strategy.
