HALF HUMAN HALF GHOST OF IN-BETWEEN (Weekly Battle Challenge - Life Sapper)

Death splinter is the most vicious element throughout the lands of Splinterlands. It was rumored in Praetoria that those who traveled at night would never survive.

These ghastly creatures can rise from the earth below and feed on innocent souls. Their fetid auras can make any human weak and faint, so said the wise Mother Khala of Life.

Life Sapper is selected for the weekly battle challenge and all participants will show their mettle by using this card with different strategies and providing the battle analysis.

LORE

Life Sappers are neither dead nor living beings, but they turned into a creature of utmost horror and hatred by existing in-between. Therefore, their existence depends on the energy of the living creatures, when they find a victim, they suck all of its energy and become more powerful creatures.

BATTLE LINEUP

LORDSHAH'S CARDS OPPONENT'S CARDS
Zintar Mortalis (Summoner) Tarsa (Summoner)
Carrion Shade Radiated Scorcher
Life Sapper Antoid Platoon
Death Elemental Chaos Agent
Creeping Ooze Goblin Fireballer
Revealer- Serpentine Spy
Uraeus Lava Spider

RULESET

(Little League: Monsters and Summoners should be of 4 Mana or less to be used in the battle lineup.)

STRATEGY
It was an 18 mana cost battle with the Little League ruleset, which also became quite favorable to set up a lineup that could be damaging against melee and ranged attackers.

I intended to use the Life Sapper to become the next tank if Carrion would be killed and it happened exactly the same as my sixth sense told about my battle results.

I used Zintar Mortalis, a death summoner, to either neutralize the melee attack in case the opponent uses a melee boosting summoner or reduce melee attacks by -1 point.

Carrion Shade was placed at the 1st position to buy Life Sapper a little time to enhance his Health, but he did more than that in the first round by removing Scorcher.

The guest of honor Life Sapper was given the 2nd position and he valiantly faced all the frontline monsters using his Life Leech skill after the demise of Shade.

Death Elemental on 3rd position was a good fit for damaging no-attack and ranged monsters.

Creeping Ooze at 4th place helped my units to take advantage of the speed and begin their attacks before the opponent's monsters.

Since Revealer had a good amount of health and ability to stun frontline tanks, he was placed in 5th position to health my frontline fighters stay longer in the battle.

Uraeus the sneak monster took the last position, as he had 1 armor, it was obvious that any sneak attacker would take him down that easily. He also helped in removing a ranged attacker.

BATTLE COMMENTARY

As Tarsa boosts her units with +1 Health and +1 Attack, Zintar Mortalis planted a curse on the enemy units making them lose their extra attack point.

Round 1
Creeping Ooze spits gummy fluid on all enemy monsters reducing their speed by 1 point, this debuff provides an opportunity to attack first on enemy units.

Scorcher is waiting to attack Carrion Shade, but Revealer and Sapper wound him to die quickly after Shade impales his bony tusks into his neck.

The only monster with 1 Health, Creeping Ooze, becomes the arch target of
Serpentine Spy, slices Ooze into tiny cubes, Ooze's death restores the lost speed of enemy units.

Round 2
"Chaos Agent, you survived the first round, but not this time, fat ass.", Death elemental whispers in his ears and throws a death shock on Chaos Agent leaving his corpse lying on the floor.

Shade having 1 Health left is an easy target for Serpentine Spy, he chops Shade's wings and then hangs him on his blade until he turns lifeless.

Revealer stuns Antoid Platoon, "Thanky ye wizardy." says Life Sapper of in-between.

Round 3
Death Elemental weakens Goblin Fireballer, but soon after that, he finds a place in the Rot Hall, as Spy takes his head with his deadly sharp blades.

Stunned Platoon has no chance to attack Sapper except surrender before him, Revealer throws a volley of skulls on Platoon and Sapper sucks the life out of them, Platoon turns into a husk and flies away in the sky.

Uraeus keeps his best efforts to weaken the backline using his Sneak attacks.

Round 4
Yum, umm, gobileen, feed me yerr tisty shoulll." a shivering voice comes from the ghostly half of Life Sapper, he is now stronger than ever after consuming the soul of Fireballer.

Round 5
Revealer gazes on Serpentine Spy in pure anger "Doom, doom, your doom, spy now die.", then he hurls 2 skulls at him and humanly Life Sapper yells "ah! ye're a big pain in the ass, come on ghostly, suck him up his energy."

Spy falls to the ground as he loses his soul to Life Sapper.

Uraeus finally satiates his hunger by devouring Lava Spider.

SPLINTERLANDS QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS

Tell us about your lineup.

It is so tough to find a good strategy when you have to follow certain ruleset. But, sometimes rulesets help the player in making tough decisions.

But, I worked out a strategy in seconds and positioned my cards so well that if one monster failed then the 2nd card should replace that to control the battle tide.

Explain why you put each card in that position and why they are a good fit with LIFE SAPPER.

'Strategy' section has been beefed up with all the required details and why I lined up my monsters that way, but to summarize the strategy, I would say that I had made strong support for Life Sapper in the backline so he could enhance his Health and also put enemy frontline in peril.

Did your strategy work?

Of course, my strategy worked nicely, and also won the battle with flying colors.

What will you try differently next time?

I will try Spirit Hoarder card with Triage ability, this way I may heal my damaged backline monsters and also hit enemy units with the magic attack of Hoarder. I would replace Uraeus if I had to experiment with that card.

Do you like LIFE SAPPER? Why or why not?

Yes, I see this card is a game changer for low mana cost battles. The main advantage of using this card in the battle is Life Leech ability, which allows him to grow his Health with each successful attack. Not good against the monster with Void ability.
