Hello Splinterlands Community!
Splinterlands just recently release the 2023 roadmap in which in Q1 the soulbound reward cards will be introduce in the game.
This just means that these soulbound reward cards will be included in the reward pool in the chest soon. But not only that as our current reward cards are now nearing to be out of print.
Based on Kiokizz website, the 1st batch of commons reward card are now 98% printed which means we are saying goodbye to these common cards soon.
Everyone knows that when a card gets out of print, the value of this card usually increase which is why in this post, we are going to discuss the importance of those cards that we would not be able to mint in the coming days.
For those who are new to my post, I usually post information which is related in the Silver League Modern Format.
⚪️ Venari Heatsmith
Venari Heathsmith main purpose is to defend. In lower league, this card can only be use to delay and defend the frontline.
In my opinion, Venari Heatsmith void armor and amplify does not have use much in fire element currently but when this card is MAX, the thorn ability has been introduce which synergize with the amplify ability. A melee opponent could take a return damage.
It was mentioned also that there will be an upcoming abilities which is Weapons Training which could give Venari Heatsmith a proper boost and value.
⚪️ Pelacor Bandit
Pelacor Bandit is probably one of the valued common reward card simply because of its abilities and stats.
In terms of stats, this card do have a high speed which also suit its flying ability. This card can be place in the last position to avoid slow melee and range sneak attack.
With the mana cost of 3, Pelacor Bandit is great in little league.
In terms of attack, the sneak ability gives this card much value as this card can be place in any position in order to deal damage to the last monster of your opponent.
With the help of Kelya Frendul and other monsters from Water splinter that gives speed and melee damage boost, Pelacor Bandit is one of the most important card coming from the reward card edition under the Chaos Legion set.
⚪️ Pelacor Mercenary
Pelacor Mercenary can be compare as the modern Flesh Golem because this card is a great tank.
In terms of stats, this card provide a good melee damage and high health.
In additionm, the flying ability gives this card immunity to earthquake, and starting from Gold league, this card can perform self healing which grants that this card is a valuable asset from the earth splinter.
Maximizing the level of this card unlocks the Retaliate ability which is pretty good addition since this card main function is in the frontline.
⚪️ Pelacor Conjurer
Even that Pelacor Conjurer does not have any attack, it does not stop Pelacor Conjurer to become a very good asset.
One of the main traits Pelacor Conjurer have is the 2 mana cost which is pretty nice for a tank with high health and high speed.
Looking at the abilities, the flying ability gives Conjurer a chance to avoid physical danage, the magic reflect ability gives this card an advantage against magic units, the holy protection to nullify the 1st attack landed to Pelacor Conjurer and the Phase ability which improves this card to complete its defense to any types of attack.
Pelacor Conjurer as a reward in the life splinter is a very great card because there are several monsters and summoner from the Life Splinter which do have amplify ability to boost Conjurer's magic reflect ability.
The same with Venari Heatsmith, this card could increase further its value when the Weapons Training ability has been introduce in the game.
⚪️ Pelacor Deceiver
Pelacor Deceiver main traits is about speed. Looking at the stats, Deceiver deals a decent melee damage and having a high speed and health.
Looking at the abilities, the flying ability grants Pelacor Deceiver immunity to earthquake and increases the chance to avoid physical attack.
The Backfire ability is a good addition and synergize with the flying and high speed of Pelacor Deceiver. This gives additional damage to the attacking opponents.
The retaliate ability in MAX level gives an additional bonus this card can do.
The usual ruleset where I use Pelacor Deceiver is the back to basic because Pelacor Deceiver does have 5 mana cost but with a high health comparing with other monsters such as Cursed Windeku which have much higher mana cost with the same health.
⚪️ Gargoya Lion
Gargoya Lion is not commonly use even though this card is a neutral monster.
Looking at Gargoya Lion stats, all of its stats are basic and common which is an average for a common monster.
Initially there is no important traits that this card is specialize except that when this card is a ★5 which grants the Void ability. This means that Gargoya Lion is a card against magic.
Looking further into Gargoya Lion's ability, in higher league this card can increase its stats by the enrage ability.
⚪️ Conclusion
Pelacor Bandit, Pelacor Conjurer and Pelacor Mercenary are the most important cards from this reward card because of the value they provide in the battlefield. Each one of them have their own specialty which is why these are the most valued cards from the list above.
All of this reward cards are soon to be out of print in the coming days as they are nearing to get the 8M printed copies.
