Hello all Splinterlands warlocks, I am excited to write here and participate in the Splinterlands weekly challenge. Today, I write to participate in the Splinterlands Social Media Weekly Challenge and for this week, we have the theme; the rebellion packs. We had this similar theme for the past two weeks now, and I am excited to be part of this wonderful community.
Are you guys not excited? In about 14 days the call for the new set of cards known as the rebellion packs would be launched and we shall experience the new abilities and new strategies of these cards and what they are bringing into Splinterlands gaming. I can't wait any longer to see these new cards and how they are going to perform in the game as they will be replacing the Untamed set of cards.
Since the release of the presale packs, we currently have about 205,538 packs left in the presale market and that indicates that more than half of the initially released rebellion packs have been sold out. We have passed half days after the release of the packs into the Splinterlands market and we still have 14 more days to go before it is launched. I am hoping to make my purchase before or after next week probably.
Each rebellion pack is said to contain five randomly selected cards with a guarantee of earning a rare card from among the five. Isn't that a nice package, yeah, it is, so let's hold tight to this new upcoming set of cards. This is going to be the fifth core edition of Splinterlands and it is said that they will replace the Untamed set of cards from the Modern format in the game. This indicates that there will be no Untamed cards again playing in the modern format once the rebellion set of the collection is released into the game.
Moreover, the rebellion packs will introduce some new abilities by their monster and they are four which are; Flank, Lookout, Armored Strike, and Corrosive Ward. These abilities, I have them explained in my last week pos and so I will leave that hanging for you to check it up.
Furthermore, the rebellion packs will have new summoners introduced into the game as well and those summoners will introduce special abilities just as the monsters are going to introduce those four new abilities. With that of the summoners, they will introduce something that is referred to as the dual-element, and the summoner tactics where players can decide on the type of strategy to use in battle after the team lineups are revealed for both players.
There is a 20% discount for the purchase of a rebellion pack and that counts when you have 5 VOUCHER in your account and you want to buy one. This is a great opportunity to utilize that discount well because a pack costs 5000 DEC/Credits, and with the 5 VOUCHER, you can have it at 4000 DEC/Credits instead of the initial 5000. When I am going to buy it, I will make sure I go by the discount strategy just as everyone will do.
Two strong and high-ability monsters are being introduced as well and for them, they will be airdropped to users who bought 100 or more of the rebellion packs. These monsters are the Mantaroth and the Grimbardun Smith. From the image below you can see their ability.
Also, the Splinterlands team has allocated spots for the 250 people on the leaderboard for which after the presale is over, they will earn some titles and opportunities. The first 30 people on the leaderboard will have the title; The Dawnbringer which is a legendary title. From 31 to 100, would have The Defiant title which is the Epic title, and finally from 101 to 250 positions would be called The Rebel (Rare title).
The Rebellion pack, I think will be a game changer and I am positive and bullish about their introducing it into the game. Also, note that the promo cards are limited and they will be given to those who purchase the rebellion packs during the presale period. This is where I will end this week's post.
