Por el año 1951, Venezuela no contaba con las mejores condiciones y en cambio, los casos de desnutrición se presentaban como un problema arraigado y profundo en la población. Es por ello que el Instituto Nacional de Nutrición procede a crear una fecha especial para conmemorar esos tiempos y a la vez resaltar como la Alimentación ideal juega un papel fundamental en el desarrollo de un país. Siguiendo la celebración del Día de la Alimentación, en las escuelas se suelen realizar diferentes actividades que incentiven a los niños a consumir una gran variedad de alimentos saludables pertenecientes al "Trompo de la Alimentación". En lo que respecta a Lis, le han dejado como asignación crear un gorro que tenga diferentes alimentos y haga alusión a la fecha misma. También le indicaron llevar una fruta a cada estudiante, para realizar allá en la escuela una rica tizana. > ## November 18, Food Day >In Venezuela, Food Day is celebrated on November 18, this particular celebration was born as a way to highlight the importance of Food for the Venezuelan population, emphasizing children. Para complementar la actividad, leímos y aprendimos sobre la celebración del día de la Alimentación, así Lis podría hablar un poco sobre eso en clase. > Lis, for her part, was very happy with the activity. Lo doblaremos a mitad y cortamos, medimos según el contorno de la cabeza del niño y unimos por los costados para formar el circulo base. Para unir usé silicon. En el otro foami blanco, dibujaremos y cortaremos la parte del frente del gorro. Tiene una forma similar como de hongo. >We take one of the two white foamis, I am using letter size. Para ello, he divido básicamente cada parte según el color y luego unido las piezas usando silicon. Después de unir las piezas, he procedido con el marcador a realizar los detalles de líneas, ojos y una boca feliz. Para darle una apreciación más infantil y tierna, con un poco de rubor y un pequeño pincel le he colocado unas mejillas ruborizadas. > Now we will draw and cut the pieces corresponding to the figures that we will place on the front of the hat. Para resaltar el número, lo he dibujado y cortado en cartulina espejo. Después acomodé un poco las figuras sobre la base, para ver en que orden quedaría bien, para así fijarlas luego con silicon. El proceso para realizar el gorro es sencillo, las figuras relacionadas a las frutas y alimentos, son sencillas y si alguna no se te da bien, puedes cambiarle por otra. En la escuela, algunas de las representantes de los otros niños, dijeron que enviaron a hacerlo y le habían cobrado de 5 o 6$. La verdad es mucho más económico hacerle uno mismo, yo en materiales no he gastado ni 1,5$. Además de que es un proceso muy entretenido. > The result is quite nice, as well as economical.
