Splinterlands: New Grain Utility Coming on Tuesday

I wanted to write today about the official launch of SPS and DEC listings on LeoDex and the joint Twitter Spaces event between Khal, Matt, and others, on this occasion. It's great to see Matt publicly excited about something after a while. It probably has been a tough time for him since he's a CEO and with the various challenges he has been facing.

Either way, I ran into an error when going through the process (I left feedback on Threads about it), and I'd rather see the process working for me before writing about it again.

So, today I'd rather write about the upcoming Trade Hub for Land which has been on the Mavs server for a while.

We already have confirmation from this week's town hall that it will be added to the game on Tuesday.

There is already an unofficial market for grain (or there was one at the beginning, not sure if people still need grain), but going forward grain could be swapped for DEC, which will create the official first land resource market.

The 10% swap fee in either direction may be a deterrent to abuse these swaps, but we'll see.

One may want to consult the swap fees section of the Land whitepaper.

I'm not sure if it's already implemented as it is described there since this is the updated whitepaper for Land 2.0, but it's important to take note the plan is for fees to be half when buying with DEC (entry point) than on selling into DEC (exit point).

Also, remark that short-term (less than 30 days) liquidity providers are taxed with 10%:

LP rewards are 5% of the swap amounts, which represents at least half of the swap fees collected. The remaining swap fees are burned.

In the whitepaper, there are mentions of elements we will see in Land 2.0, like the Desalinisation Process.

The rewards are paid as shares in the pool so in both tokens of the pair. I don't know why I was under the impression the LP rewards would be DEC only. But LP shares are ok too.

I have been waiting for this development for a while. It is a way to have some return from our land (other than SPS) which is not potentially years away.

It will be time to focus some energy on this, at least for me. How about you? Interested in the Trade Hub? As a trader or as a liquidity provider?
