Battles Of The Day: Runic Skyclaw

The most recent card expansion of Splinterlands Riftwatchers brought with it a large number of new and very powerful cards, which I like but the "only" negative aspect I find is that they cost a lot of mana points to use, so in battles where we have few mana points to use these cards are very disposable. For now and one of my favorite cards of Riftwatchers is the card which is dedicated in today's post, a card of the DRAGON type, which has one of my favorite skills: Snipe and is a card with good stats, that card is: Runic Skyclaw.

In today's two battles I used the combination DRAGON+EARTH, as this combination gave me the best results in the battles, and the two formations are quite similar even though they have some different cards, although between the two battles some cards will be repeated. But anyway, this is today's strategy: In first position it occurred to me to place one of the cards that previously and even today I consider it as one of the most complete Melee type cards of all Splinterlands, Goblin Mech is a card that has some pretty solid stats and very effective for a frontal battle, being a perfect card to be placed in first position due to its good shield points, It has 5 shield points and 8 life points, making it a very resistant card, but it is also a card with an extremely high attack, with 5 points it is a totally lethal card, it also has the "Piercing" ability, which can give it a certain advantage depending on the situation. In second position and so that Gobling Mech would not receive so much damage at the beginning and would be kept so that it could cause as much damage as possible, I placed a card with the ability "Taunt" and that card is: Mycelic Slipspawn, a Magic Attack card that in addition to that ability, which makes it the target of all the cards of my opponent, is a card that has a good amount of life points.

In third and fourth position I placed two cards with the ability "Opportunity" and those cards are: Venari Scout and Screeching Vulture respectively, two Melee cards that despite their low amount of life should not be underestimated, as they are capable of eliminating many enemy cards quite easily and quickly. In penultimate position I placed the main card of today: Runic Skyclaw, a card of Range Attack which has very good stats, both at the level of shield and life points is a more than decent card, but its strongest point is its speed, as with 6 points of speed is a very effective card to dodge certain enemy attacks and in addition to the ability "Snipe", also has "Flying", making it an even more evasive card. And in last position I put a card that I discovered recently and it turns out that it is also becoming one of my favorites of the new expansion, Uloth Dhampir is another Ranged Attack card, but this time it has the ability "Stun" and although it has few speed points, with only 2, it compensates with high health points (8) and a more than decent attack (although all this taking into account that I only have it at level 1 like Runic Skyclaw).

For this second battle I decided to place cards with the "Opportunity" and "Snipe" abilities, so all the cards, except for the card in first position have those abilities and repeating in formation two cards that were in the first battle (not counting the main card of today, of course). In first position I put one of my favorite cards of the DRAGON deck: Djinn Chwala, an excellent card both offensively and defensively, has a decent shield level and a high amount of life, so it can withstand a lot of damage, but also has the ability "Thorns", so it is a very effective card against Melee type cards. In the next three positions I placed cards with the "Opportunity" ability, being those cards: Dragon Jumper, an excellent card that I like very much due to its high speed, since it also has the "Flying" ability and because of that it is a very evasive card. In the next two positions repeat again in formation the cards: Venari Scout and Screeching Vulture respectively.

And in the last two positions, two cards with the ability "Snipe", being one of them the protagonist card of today: Runic Skyclaw and in last position: Hunter Jarx, which this last card almost did not use until I saw its great utility in battle, this is a card that has a very good level of life points but it is a card with few points of speed, it only has two points.
