Daily Quest for Splinterlands. Sneak Monsters.

Daily Quest for Splinterlands:

Sneak Monsters

Today's Splinterlands daily quest was to use the Sneak monsters in battle and win 5 battles doing so.

screenshot_106_.png

I have to win five battles using Sneak monsters. I will attempt to accomplish this without renting cards to my advantage as I want to save my Dark Energy Crystals for future Quest potions. Quest Potions will allow me to receive five additional loot chests each time I complete a daily quest!

I will be playing at Bronze level three and using the Phantom Card Deck that comes with the purchase of the SPELLBOOK that is required to play.

At Six Dollars USD for a promo 10 pack of quest potions, currently they are not really lucrative to acquire based off my recent Quest rewards. However, I do enjoy the engagement here on these splinterlands posts and even making them so I will carry forward with continued enthusiasm for the Daily Quests!

Perhaps, I can do this for a month just to have a collection of bronze level posts showing how fun @splinterlands is without getting lost in the ROI's, yROA-B's, dec's and of course that very pretty SPS; for all these new users flocking Splinterlands that can barely afford a Spell Book. The Spell Book is worth every penny by the way!

Splinterlands Token's

The Splintershards (SPS) Token

Splintershards (SPS) is a new cryptocurrency governance token which will be integrated into the Splinterlands game in order to provide increasing levels of decision-making ability and control over the product to the player-base, asset owners, and other stakeholders.

The primary purpose and utility of the Splintershards (SPS) token within the game will be participating in governance. Splinterlands plans to introduce a governance voting system into the game platform that will allow players holding staked SPS tokens to vote for or against different proposed changes to the game and ecosystem.

Each staked SPS token will be worth one vote, so the more SPS tokens a player has staked, the more they will be able to influence the results of the votes.

Dark Energy Crystals (DEC)

Dark Energy Crystals are the in-game currency in Splinterlands. You earn it through "burning" (i.e. destroying) one of your cards or by winning battles in ranked games. You will get extra DEC if you win your battles using gold foil and/or alpha edition cards. Your winning streak will give you a boost in DEC rewards as well. However, if you are playing several matches in a row the amount of DEC you are eligible to receive goes down each time you win. This recharges over time and is referred to as your Capture Rate.

Splintertalk (SPT)

What is SPT?

So far, SPT has not been having any effect on the Splinterlands ecosystem, except for a little extra incentive to blog about the game. Splintertalk has its own frontend condenser on Splintertalk.io, where you can find its own trending page, a fantastic way to find the currently best Splinterlands content. You can also find your SPT specific wallet there, where you can stake your SPT. Alternatively, you can use LeoDex for that, where you can manage all your Hive Engine tokens.

When SPT was originally issued, 100k SPT has been airdropped to each Maverick at that time (investors who bought 500+ Booster Packs), who had to individually claim the airdrop from the founders. Since then, a lot of SPT has been sold off and the price has plummeted while it was still lingering on the Steem blockchain. Since the token listens to the the tags #splinterlands, #steemmonsters and #spt, it is often even used without the authors knowledge! Now, with the transition to the Hive blockchain and some fresh promises by the founders, a new interest is arising for the token.

My Sneak Monster for the Daily Quest

While I am still fairly new to Splinterlands, I do have a favorite Splinter I love to play with and that is the Water Splinter.

SABRE SHARK

screenshot_115_.png

Sabre Sharks can smell a potential meal underwater from a mile away, and their prey never hears them coming. Though these sharks are heavily concentrated in ΛZMΛRÉ, they can be found anywhere in the Splinterlands. These sharks are deadly enough, but they are a full fifty times smaller than their cousin, the Megalodon. Splinterlore

And Guest Starring THE KRAKEN

kraken_stats.png

They say that in the recent shifting of the Planet that has come with the Untamed, great schisms were opened on the floors of the seas. Through these new openings emerged new monsters from the core beyond, larger than anything even the most traveled Azmaré pirate has ever seen. The Kraken is one such beast, and one that occasionally swims as high as the water’s surface. Sailors who have seen it say that it approaches from beneath like a great storm cloud, somehow darkening everything around it with its massive shadow. With the swipe of a single tentacle, the Kraken can capsize the mightiest ships as if they were a child’s bath toy. The Kraken is so huge that special Gloridax sorcery was used to ensure that its projected essence in tournament battle was only a small portion of its actual size. If this precaution had not been taken, summoning the Kraken would have crushed every spectator in the arena. Splinterlore

While the Kraken is not a part of the phantom deck nor is it a Sneak monster, I brought this beauty to just the first battle of the day for fun and to show her off. I noticed the rental market is on fire. My rentals were freeing up due to me canceling rentals so I could re-adjust my rental prices and to be sure to keep my rental price rates reflective of the lucrative rental market on PeakMonsters. I had my level one Kraken magically become available for a battle today because of the adjustments I was making on Peakmonsters.

With BORTUS, the Magic reducing summoner for all enemies and a sneaky SABRE SHARK on my team; going up against an ALRIC STORMBRINGER summoner with his Magic increasing abilities was certainly going to be a fun battle to fight!

Their Shark was even bigger than ours. Goes to show you how valuable BORTUS is!

I have been seeing lots of PYRE, the fire summoner, who gives his team a +1 speed advantage. I am still learning the most efficient way to counter this summoner. However, I still beat him at bronze level 3 no problem but I need to better strategize against speed for future matches.

With SABRE SHARK getting knock out early on, we leaned heavily on MEDUSA for the win!

I came in with BORTUS again, thinking I was surley going up against Alric yet again but alas I was taken off guard!

My opponent brought a Life Summoner to the field of battle not a magic hit power adding Alric! Even with the lacking benefit(s) that a Summoner usually adds to our team, we still prevailed!

YARRRR!!! This was surely a Killer Bounty! Quest Potions are clearly worth every penny!

AXEMASTER EPIC Water Monster

axe_master.png

The mysterious clan who call themselves Axemasters are perhaps the most peculiar group of people in the whole of ΛZMΛRÉ. They live under the moist ground in cave dwellings in the eastern thickets of the great Jungle, somewhere between the Palace of Eld and the treacherous tree known as Sligbough Oak. For many generations, they have protected the treasures of Eld from intruders, raiders, and even pirates who are unfamiliar with the legends of the curse. Some scholars claim that the Axemasters consider themselves the stewards and true owners of the treasures of Eld, but if you could get close enough to an Axemaster, they would tell you that they are merely protecting the people who would be foolish enough to touch the cursed treasure.

Genetically, Axemasters are a hybrid race called Meru that was created by merging Human and Mer (with a touch of Chaos magic) into amphibious creatures. Mer stories say that these demon offspring were ousted from Poseidar long ago, that they were not welcome anywhere under the water. As a result, they found the surface and made a home for their clan on the shores. In the years since, the clan has continued to migrate further and further from the water, where their Mer enemies are plentiful.

CHARLOK MINOTAUR

charlock_stats.png

The Minotaurs of Charlok are friends of the Exploding Dwarves of the Burning Lands. Although Minotaurs and Dwarves come from very different genetic backgrounds, both Charlok races emerged from the wreckage following the underground fall of Prujic, the Dwarven city of greed. These Minotaurs of flame hail from the same molten origins of the deep as the Exploding Dwarves, which Ferexia scholars have recently named Charlok. It was so named because only creatures of pure fire could have survived in the superheated furnace of the Planet. Since Prujic’s fall, Dwarves and Minotaurs alike have continually emerged and found their way to the surface, where the greater levels of oxygen have only made their flames and powers grow. In the shadow of the highest Molten Mountain, they have built together the emblazoned camp, where the two races are seeming to consolidate their power in the Splinterlands. The Charlok Minotaurs can also be summoned to tournament battle, where they are happy to demonstrate their thirst for fiery destruction. Splinterlore
