Splinterlands Diary 04.05.22 - Harklaw

Hello friends! The fun is unstoppable and this morning I rushed into the Gold II league and came very close to the Gold I league, which is a stone's throw away from the coveted Diamond.

I got a few bottles, a rare Naga Assassin archer, and the legendary Harklaw for the day's quest with the element of death!

Great melee card and nice to finally pump him up to level 2, at which he has the ability to resist negative effects, which means that now you can use the Death deck in battles with Noxious Fumes rule or against strong players using Waka Spiritblade summoner.

It's noteworthy that I passed the last Daily Quest battle with this card, and I admit that I like using it in Melee Mayhem battles.

So, my strategy was a massive attack, so I chose this combo:

  • ZINTAR MORTALIS summoner, which lowers the strength of your opponent's melee attacks;
  • CURSED WINDEKU on the first position, so the opponent would take damage by attacking my tank;
  • on the second position HARKLAW, with high health and strong attack;
  • third position went to my favorite mage PHANTOM SOLDIER, who at high cost of summoning does great damage, thanks to good speed;
  • Fourth position goes to DJINN MUIRAT, who has enough defense to hold back if my defense fails;
  • in fifth position is NIGHTMARE, who with his Blast ability and Melee Mayhem rule turns into a weapon of mass destruction;
  • GIANT SCORPION completes the combo as a diversionary target for enemy cards with Opportunity.

The enemy put up a no less steep defense with VENARI KNIFER and UNICORN MUSTANG, adding to them MYCELIC SPLISPAWN and DISINTEGRATOR, which reduced my attacks, but even losing the first two positions my fighters performed well and met the expectations placed on them.

Let's see what surprises the game has in store for me and hope that the prizes for the next day quests will be just as awesome :)
