[Dragon] Share your Battle challenge (1)

image

First attempt at the Dragon share your battle challenge, I be writing about Quix The Devious as I do really like to use that card against life decks due to its reduction in range and speed on the opponent's team.

Battle rules

SymbolRule Effect
imageAll Ranged and Magic attack Monsters have the Snipe ability.
imageMonsters with the lowest Speed attack first and have the highest chance of evading attacks.

Total Mana : 58
Usable elements : Earth, Life , Death and Dragon

Look at my opponent's last 5 teams they look to favor range units and therefore my summoner selection even thou there is reverse speed using the reduction in damage is still a good choice.

Team Composition

Role: Summoner

Quix The Devious picked to counter the range units on the opponent team and to allow me to use the dragon units since we have quite a bit of mana to use.

Position: Main Tank/ Thorns

Djinn Chwala with it armor and thorns its one of the better tanks it also does have a decent attack damage.

Role: Reach/ Sub Tank/ Double Strike

Carnage Titan has reach so it can attack from the 2nd slot when its a melee unit plus has double strike so it can do quite a bit of damage, its armor and health values are pretty high as well so it is good as a subtank.

Role: Magic Damage/ Flying / Scattershot

Chaos Dragon a strong magic damage unit with a high amount of HP great as sub tank as well but mainly used for damage in this team since it cant be taunted.

Role: Healer/ Range Damage

Venari Crystalsmith used as the team's healer since the 3 units in front of it all have high HP values its heals are more effective.

Role: Double Strike/ Range Damage

Pelacor Arbalest with its double strike it be dealing quite a bit of damage, just really squishy thou.

Role: Blast/ Range Damage/ Sneak Shield

Lastly on the team, Prismologist with its high range damage and blast it will do quite a nice chunk of damage on the opposing team and with its small amount of armor it will heal in protecting the backline from sneak attacks.

Now on to the Battle

Round 1

1

Seem like the last few battles helped in guessing what they are going to run, 3 out of the 6 units are ranged and they all lost a single point of damage which helps alot.

They do have a sandworm which is troubling as it will take out my Prismologist in the next round, this round it survives purely due to the 2 points of armor.

Round 2

2

Djinn Chwala's thorns and armor is doing good work by damaging the opponent's melee tanks and due to the reduction in range damage my units still manage to survive the onslaught.

Round 3

3

The Sandworm is killing my back line which is not that good as the next unit to be killed will be my healer which will reduce the survivability of the team. However their tanks are also on their last legs.

Round 4

4

It does not look that good for me right now as i have a unit deficit with 2 units vs 4 units, Djinn Chwala is doing a good job in taking out their main tank and
Carnage Titan is doing well in removing another unit.

Round 5 & Beyond

5

The sand worm killed itself when it ramed Djinn Chwala and triggered its thorns pushing their Prismologist to the front of their team making it unable to attack and once it fell the remaining Pelacor Arbalest was also made unable to attack and was finally killed by the Carnage Titan.

Strategy Talk

This match was pretty close it was mainly thanks to some luck and the high hp and armor of the dragon units and the reduction in range damage from Quix The Devious that made it possible for the win.

Quix The Devious is quite strong against the life faction since most of the strong life cards are ranged.

Quix The Devious is good in the no melee units ruleset, the no magic ruleset as most of the time those ruleset will use more range units.
