A Brief Summary of Last Stand and Elder Efreet

Last stand is an ability that doubles a creatures attack and speed and increases it's health by a massive percentage if it's the only creature on the board. Thusly, when using a creature with last stand it stands to reason that you ideally want to use only it. Or make sure it is the LAST CREATURE STANDING. Elder efreet, as also summarized here, is good both as a tanky blocker and last stand dealer of death. And without further or do, Let the battle commence!

Strategy And Placement

As seen in my battle located here Elder Efreet is positioned towards the center. And depending on which ruleset you pull, the placement of elder efreet would need to change in order for him to have an increased chance of being the last minion standing on your side of the board. Brighton Bloom was used as a summoner because he is very effective for this ruleset.

In the front I had tankier creatures to absorb the damage I expected from big flying creatures from either earth or flying, however I hoped to maybe do something unexpected by making things fly that shouldn't (MADNESS!).

Elder Efreet upon the death of Cornelius gains last stand and comes out of the gate delivering the final blow to mitica headhunter. By the end it just comes down to Earth Elemental and Elder Efreet.

In this battle lady luck grinned very widely upon me, as Elder Efreet with a speed of 5 and flying dodged numerous hits like a madman against earth elemental. Eventually getting past his regeneration with the aid of the ruleset damage per turn.

Wresting victory from uncertain odds, Elder efreet eliminated most of the enemy single handedly. Not something you see everyday. Entertaining to watch.
